It seems as though retailers are becoming more and more vague about what the actual deals will be come Black Friday in ads and early marketing materials. That said, some retailers still subscribe to the old school way of doing things and actually dish up specific prices on upcoming deals, and even the exact date they will go live. Costco is, to some degree, one of these retailers and it is already teasing a notable upcoming PlayStation 5 deal. 

It’s been 10 years since Fallout 4 released, and Bethesda thinks it’s a good time to re-release the game. Not only will the new Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition including all of the already released DLC packs and even some Fallout 4 Creation Club goodies, but it is also slated for release on Nintendo Switch 2.

The worst kept secret in Switch 2 ports is now official. After the better part of a year’s worth of leaks, rumors, and hints straight from Ubisoft, an official trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Switch 2 just hit the official Nintendo YouTube channel. 

Nintendo Direct goes live again this morning, and it’s all about the new Kirby Air Riders. As was officially announced earlier this week, Nintendo will livestream its next Direct presentation very soon on its official channels to give us another particularly lengthy look at the new Kirby racing title. 

Let’s take an updated look at all of the games confirmed for the Switch 2 GameCube library. Nintendo debuted the Nintendo Classics GameCube collection the same day Switch 2 launched this past summer with three titles and has steadily been updating it alongside the rest of the Switch Online retro libraries. 

After debuting its officially licensed Switch 2-compatible Express microSD earlier this year, Samsung is back again with another Express memory card called P9 Express. This new model is available in 256GB and 512GB capacities, and they’re both up for pre-order now at Amazon starting at $54.99 shipped. The 512GB variant is even seeing a launch deal down to $94.99 shipped with an on-page coupon. Just after revealing the next Nintendo Classics GameCube title, Nintendo has now announced a new FREE update for Pikmin 4 for Switch and Switch 2, alongside a FREE demo so you can try it all out.

Just as we previously predicted (and hoped for) Nintendo has now officially announced that Luigi’s Mansion is the next game coming to the GameCube Nintendo Classics library for Switch 2. We knew it was coming at some point, and what better time than Halloween? 

After giving us a complete detailed look at the new Kirby Air Riders, including the November 11, 2025 release date, Nintendo has just taken to the official Nintendo Today! App and X to announce the details on the next Direct – another dedicated Kirby Air Riders show ahead of launch. 

Ahead of the official Switch 2 launch, rumors suggested we could be seeing some official dual-screen action on Nintendo’s new console by way of a secondary USB-C port. We already know there are some not so perfect workarounds for using  second display on Switch 2, even your iPad, but the real question is, and has been for some time, when is Nintendo bringing DS to Nintendo Classics and how is it going to deal with the second display setup on those games? A new patent suggests something might already be on the works. 

Update 10/14: The Assassin’s Creed Shadows Switch 2 release date has now leaked courtesy of a particularly reliable source – the game is expected to launch in Europe on December 5 – that likely means it will be right around then in the U.S. as well, if this date is indeed the real thing. This source also claims an official announcement will hit on or before November 7. 

Assassin’s Creed is in the news again to start the week, and this time it’s not for the somewhat controversial new Mirage Valley of Memory expansion – the Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows has leaked again. And this time we get a look at the box art. 

It looks like every official upcoming Pokémon project in the works at GameFreak has leaked. Sources who claimed to have datamined the developer’s roadmap from internal files have released details on a series of as of yet un-announced Pokémon titles, including the official Gen 10 Switch 2 game, and a series of other titles.

The My Nintendo Store Switch 2 pre-order invites have gone out and that means the first chance to score one of the new wireless GameCube controllers has too, but the actual Switch Online GameCube library won’t launch until June 5 when the Switch 2 does. Nintendo announced that it would be bringing GameCube to its classics library for Switch Online + Expansion Pack members alongside the Switch 2, but there are a few things you need to know about it and we’ll have a look at all of the games we know are coming to the service thus far down below.

Microsoft is shaking things up with Xbox Game Pass, rebranding certain subscription tiers while also increasing the prices. After the 30th anniversary PlayStation 5 hardware releases, and the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, September 2025 marks the actual 30th anniversary of PlayStation in North America and Europe, and Sony isn’t finished the celebration yet. Today it took to the official PlayStation Blog to reveal some all-new collectibles and the PlayStation x Reebok collection. Scope it all out below. 

The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast delivered a series of new updates and add-on content coming to some major releases, but the headliner announcement was the reveal of Forza Horizon 6. 

It has been a long time coming, but Insomniac has finally given us a seriously good look at its Wolverine game, and it looks wild. Some may have felt it was going to sugar the experience, but this isn’t your neighborhood Spider-Man folks – this thing looks rough, raw, and extremely violent. Just the way we wanted it. 

At today’s State of Play showcase, which capped off with a brand new gameplay trailer for the Insomniac Wolverine game (it looks wild!), Sony also revealed the Pulse Elevate – “Sony Interactive Entertainment’s first wireless speakers for desktop gaming.” 

Okay here we go folks, it’s time to see what PlayStation has in store for us on the next State of Play livestream. Yesterday Sony announced it would be hosting a September State of Play event alongside the TGS festivities and it is all set to kick off this afternoon.

Capcom is set to host its Tokyo Game Show livestream this morning. While we are not expecting anything new from the highly-anticipated Resident Evil Requiem, just about every other major Capcom franchise, alongside some of the upcoming titles will be present and going live this morning on YouTube with new details and gameplay footage. 

Nintendo just hit us with one of the most epic September showcases in recent memory at the latest Direct, and now Sony is looking to get in on the action as it has just announced the next PlayStation State of Play. Last time around we got a dedicated 30-minute rundown of the new James Bond game, but this week State of Play is returning to form with a relatively sizable showcase of reveals and updates from devs across the globe, including PlayStation Studios. 

Remember how much it sucked when Microsoft officially announced a price hike on Xbox back in May? Well, it is doing it again. Announced today, Xbox consoles are getting another official price hike, including both the Series S and Series X. 

The Nintendo Switch 2 and the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle are now readily available for purchase at Amazon with no invite needed. While these consoles have been up for grabs at retail online and in-store for some time now, Amazon’s invitation phase is over – if you have some Amazon gift cards and store credit in the holster, this might be your first chance to score a deal on the new Nintendo console. 

Just after the reveal of the Virtual Boy collection and some additions to the Switch Online GameCube and N64 libraries over the last couple months, Nintendo has announced a pair of new games coming to Nintendo Classics. This time around we are turning back to the handhelds titles with a pair of classic games for the Game Boy Advance lineup. 

As part of last week’s big September Nintendo Direct and the Mario 40th anniversary celebration, the new Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 bundle was announced for SWitch and Switch 2 alongside the official reveal The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. However, Nintendo also announced a special collectible to go along with both of them – Rosalina’s Storybook – pulled straight from the game and brought into real life. The new hardcover book is set for release in a couple months and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.

Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary for Super Mario Bros. and Nintendo is ready to celebrate. During today’s Direct presentation it debuted a ton of exciting updates and new releases for Mario’s 40th, including a new teaser trailer and confirmation of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. However, on top of that we are also getting a new Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 bundle release as well as two new companion amiibo figures too. 

Nintendo’s big September Direct went live yesterday with big-time announcements for Mario’s 40th anniversary, release dates for titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and some exciting new titles revealed for early next year. We have already detailed the new Super Mario Galaxy + Galaxy 2 bundle as well as Virtual Boy for Switch Online and the new hardware, among others, but just about all of the new titles and amiibo Nintendo had on display yesterday are now up for pre-order at Amazon. 

During today’s lengthy Nintendo Direct, we did not get any updates on the Switch Online GameCube library, but Nintendo did officially announce Virtual Boy! It is ready to add an entirely new console to its Nintendo Classics collection in the form of the ultra-retro Virtual Boy library alongside an actual Virtual Boy peripheral you stick your Switch or Switch 2 inside of. Nintendo’s big September Direct is a wrap and it certainly did not disappoint for Mario’s big 40th anniversary. The first Super Mario Bros. game released almost exactly 40 years ago and Nintendo unsheathed this year’s celebration with a host of key announcements in the form of upgraded versions of beloved Mario classics, a new Switch 2 Edition of one of the best 2D Mario games of the modern era, the official announcement of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, a new Yoshi game, the new Mario Tennis experience, and a even a talking flower. 

Today’s Nintendo Direct is a wrap and it has now announced the release date for its big holiday Switch 2 release – Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. This is one of those games we knew about in an official capacity well before Switch 2 was even a thing, but it was also one of the more anticipated Switch 2 titles we knew about that didn’t have a release date…until now.

Back in June Sony officially revealed a new edition of its beloved and equally as adorable Astro Bot DualSense controller. We got our first look at the new controller a few months back, but Sony has announced when you’ll actually be able to get your hands on one. 

Here we go! It’s Nintendo Direct day. Outside of the reveal and eventual release of Switch 2, today is arguably the biggest day of the year thus far for Nintendo gamers. Nintendo is set to host a massive Nintendo Direct livestream this morning, and it, by all accounts, looks like it’s going to be a big meaty one, filled with the new games and perhaps some big-time surprises. 

Nintendo Direct goes live this morning, and it’s going to be a big one folks. Nintendo has not been tight about livestream events in this the year of its new next-generation console, from three major dedicated showcases for its biggest new Switch 2 game releases, as well as an IndieWorld and a Partner Showcase that perhaps seemed worse then they were just because Silksong wasn’t in them. But Silksong has released, and we already have all the details and a release date on the new Kirby Air Riders – today’s show is going to be one of the biggest Nintendo Direct livestreams ever and the first proper showing since Switch 2 barely had a chance to touch down on store shelves before we all scooped them up.

The next Nintendo Direct went official this morning. After months of rumors of an official, proper Direct showcase, it is finally on the slate. Nintendo has been cranking these things out faster and more frequent than ever since Switch 2 hit store shelves, but they have largely come in the form of dedicated showcases for specific titles and those Direct side quests: IndieWorld and Partner Showcase. This week though, we get the real deal. 

It’s actually happening. The rumors were true. Nintendo has now officially confirmed the next Nintendo Direct and it is set to go live this Friday at the usual time. 

While we all eagerly await the rumored announcement of the September Nintendo Direct, we are also coming to realize this will be the first month without a single first-party Switch 2 release. Now clearly Hollow Knight: Silksong just broke the internet for a short time when it released last week, the eShop included, and that is frankly more than enough to keep most gamers busy all month long, but there are a host of other third-party games that have already and are still to land in September for Switch and Switch 2.
