This new model is available in 256GB and 512GB capacities, and they’re both up for pre-order now at Amazon starting at $54.99 shipped. Samsung debuts new P9 Express microSD card
Much like its officially licensed Express microSD card that hit the scene during the Switch 2 launch, the new Samsung P9 Express memory card can hit transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s. It still doesn’t quite match the speeds of Lexar’s 900MB/s PLAY PRO model, but it’s among the fasted microSD cards out there standing toe-to-toe with models from SanDisk and PNY. The good thing about the new P9 Express memory card, however, is that it’s available in 256GB and 512GB capacities, compared to Samsung’s first Express microSD which only comes in 256GB.
The Samsung P9 Express is also backward-compatible with UHS-I and UHS-II devices, meaning you can use it beyond the Switch 2. It also includes a limited 3-year warranty and protection against water, extreme temperatures, magnets, and other elements. Lastly, it’s worth pointing out that the P9 Express is compatible with the Samsung Magician software, which you can use to verify the product’s authenticity, monitor its performance, and more.
