Come tune in to today’s massive Nintendo Direct – 60 minutes of ‘upcoming’ Switch 2 games

Here we go! It’s Nintendo Direct day. Outside of the reveal and eventual release of Switch 2, today is arguably the biggest day of the year thus far for Nintendo gamers. Nintendo is set to host a massive Nintendo Direct livestream this morning, and it, by all accounts, looks like it’s going to be a big meaty one, filled with the new games and perhaps some big-time surprises.

Nintendo Direct – September 2025

Nintendo announced the long-awaited and long-rumored September Direct earlier this week, and that day has finally arrived.

For many, the Silksong release date was a big deal, and perhaps the biggest of the year – it did bring the eShop to its knees after all – but today will be the first major Nintendo Direct since Switch 2’s release. There were some wonderful dedicated shows, but today’s show looks to be a proper Direct loaded with different games from different developers and publishers, and there had better be some big stuff from Nintendo in there too.

This morning’s September Direct is set to go live at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and you can watch it down below along with us. Nintendo says we are in for “roughly 60 minutes of information on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games,” let’s just hope that includes the Metroid Prime 4 releases date, some exciting teasers for new first-party games, and a full run of surprises to celebrate Mario’s 40th anniversary (Super Mario Bros. turns 40 tomorrow).

Join us on Sept 12 at 6am PT for a Nintendo Direct! Tune in for roughly 60 minutes of information on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games.
