Small States: Waterfield Designs has the perfect bag for all of your gadgets, giveaway worth $329

Small States features small companies that design and manufacture within the United States.

Need a bag? There are so many different styles and brands out there, you’ll find something. But it isn’t until you find that perfect match that you truly understand what you’ve been missing.

For me, this happened with Waterfield Designs’ Staad Laptop Backpack. I’ve long been searching for a bag that could meet all of my on-the-go needs. I’ve tried the Ogio Renegade, which can carry everything you need (and feels like it too). I’ve tried the traditional leather messenger bag, but that struggled to handle everything I threw at it. It wasn’t until I came across the Staad that I realized what I’ve been missing.

Automatic: Your Smart Driving Assistant for iOS/Android $80 shipped (Reg. $100)

Amazon offers the Automatic Smart Driving Assistant for $79.99 shipped, which is a match for the best price we have ever for this appcessory. As a further pricing comparison, both Best Buy and Apple are charging full list ($99.99) for it.

Automatic plugs into your vehicle’s (1996 or newer) diagnostic port and transmits valuable information to your iPhone or Android smartphone that can help improve driving habits and save on fuel. Furthermore, it can remind you where you parked, diagnose and clear your check engine light, and find a nearby mechanic. Crash Alert (iPhone only right now) can help you get help and notify family members if you get into a serious accident.

We reviewed Automatic and found it to be a great product even at its retail price of $100:

While Automatic can’t make you be a better driver, it can certainly help you along the way if you’re willing to take a little coaching. The accessory gives you a subtle beep when you break or accelerate too fast or break 70 mph. Take your weekly score into account, notice what behaviors you repeat, and most importantly aim for fewer beeps and you’re bound to improve… if you’re willing.

TouchPico: Turn Any Surface Into A Touch Screen with this Amazing Device

The TouchPico is a miniature handheld projector that runs on Android and lets you interact with the projected images via a special stylus.

Let me reiterate.. It lets you interact with the images you have projected like giant touchscreen tablet.

It”s basically an Android tablet that has been shrinked to fit in your pocket and can be projected onto any flat surface. Because it’s so small and portable, it’s ideal for business meetings, presentations, or just having fun.

Like I said before, what sets this projector apart is the TouchPico’s infrared pen, which, when pressed onto a surface, outputs an infrared signal that is read by a camera on the front of the projector. This essentially allows users to manipulate the projected screen using the pen like they would a touchscreen device with a finger. The device itself is a pico projector that outputs a 854 x 480 display onto a screen or a wall.

Paired with the projector is an Android 4.0 device running on a 1GHz processor with two cores. There’s also an HDMI port so the TouchPico can be used like a more traditional projector.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5l3xU4qM1g

The ability to move objects/projections is reminiscent of the Sci-Fi thriller Minority Report (2002)

The TouchPico was first announced at CES earlier this year, and will likely be available around the holiday season (even if the Indiegogo isn’t fully funded by that time). Currently, you can shell out $270 to get one of the first TouchPicos, but the price will probably soar to around $500 when it’s released commercially.
