In many cases we have to swap out USB devices when connecting with our laptops due to there not being enough ports. Otherwise, users tend to resort to USB hubs and things of that nature. While these options do work, the folks over at InfiniteUSB seem to think they have a better way.
Essentially a limitless chain, InfiniteUSB cables snap together (as seen above) to create an endless series of available ports from a single USB jack on your laptop. Something to keep in mind here is that we are unsure of how power is distributed down through the chain and how that might effect power hungry devices like your portable HDs and tablets. They come in three different models to keep all your devices connected including Micro USB, Lightning and Female USB. All of which come in 5 different colors.
Another interesting touch is the built-in magnet organization system, which allows the connector end of the InfiniteUSB cable to fold-up and neatly attach to the other end when not in use.
InifniteUSB has already left its Kickstarter goal in the dust, having topped it by more than $40,000 at this point. You can get in early for as low $12 for a single cable right now via Kickstarter, along with some special edition offerings as well.
While certainly a unique design idea, a basic USB hub might be a more elegant solution for some. However, at around $12 a pop, with a limitless number of highly portable connections from a single port (although anymore than 4 or 5 starts to look a little silly), and multiple connector types, it will likely be of interest to others.

Obviously, all connectors will share the power supplied by the actual port at the beginning of the line, so, this would not be best for trying to charge multiple devices, but great for connecting multiple low or non-powered USB devices!
The main advantage I see here is the ability to plug in an iOS device to charge & sync (I still sync via iTunes, not wifi), and still be able to plug in other devices, as, it’s best not to use a USB hub for syncing, and often times these won’t charge iOS devices anyway. Especially for me, as I have a mid 2010 MBP 13″ with only 2 USB 2 slots, one of which is occupied with a BT4.0 adapter (I have handoff & continuity functions enabled now.), so, when I sync my iOS devices I have to unplug anything else connected there, I will get one of these.
On second thought, I went to their site to see that it only fits on the right side, my MBP only has ports on the left side and it would block other ports I use. I found a way to contact them, and asked if they will offer left sided or reversible before I support their kickstarter. There are plenty of MBPs that only have left sided USB ports on them, I hope they consider left handed ones.
