Certified refurbished Apple AirPorts: Extreme 802.11ac $120 (Reg. $199 new), Express 802.11n $60 (Reg. $99 new)

Best Buy offers a Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Apple AirPort Extreme 802.11ac Wireless Base Station for $119.99 with free shipping. That’s $79 below the new retail price, $49 better than Apple’s refurbished price, and a match for lowest we have ever seen. It serves up ultrafast 802.11ac WiFi, offers USB connectivity to easily share printers and hard drives, and can be configured with the Apple AirPort mobile app.

The Geek Squad Refurbished AirPort Express is also available for $59.99, which is $15 below Apple’s refurb price, and also a match for the lowest we have ever seen. It features dual-band 802.11n connectivity for optimal performance and reduced interruptions. It also features a rear USB port for wireless printing from network-connected devices.

I just bought an Apple refurbished for $120. What are you talking about? http://www.apple.com/shop/product/FE918LL/A/refurbished-airport-extreme

First, “shipping” is NOT even available for the refurb’d Extreme (and I challenge you to find store ANYWHERE that has one in stock)!

    And – at $119.99 – it bears only a 90-day warranty vs. Apple’s full one-year coverage.

Not at all the “deal” it purported to be….

Both AirPorts were available for shipping when we originally posted this deal two weeks ago. And yes, Apples warranty is clearly better, but the unit also costs $49 more. Some people would prefer to save that money and give the Best Buy refurb a shot.

  3. Trouble is, no shipping available. It has to be in stock at a store near you. None in the Portland metro area…crap.

Ya that’s true for the Extreme, but the Express is still available for shipping.

Thanks for posting this! Just saved a ton on a referb’d extreme.

That’s what it’s all about! Enjoy.
