As a vlogger looking for the best phone for vlogging, you’ll do well to consider the Motorola Moto G7 Power. The main draw here is the days upon days of battery life. If you don’t want to have to carry around a charger with the phone to make sure you aren’t running out of battery, then this is the best smartphone for you.

Why We Like It – Motorola Moto G7 Power

The Motorola Moto G7 Power may be considered a lower-end phone, but that doesn’t mean it should have to come with lower end features. In fact, the 5000mAH battery is probably the best battery in cell phones currently, and the large screen is perfect for both gaming and vlogging.

Pros
  • Days of Use on a Single Charge
  • Comes With an Exceptional Turbo Charger
  • Headphone Jack
Cons
  • Different UK and US Performance Benchmarks
  • Only 720P Resolution

Overall Performance

The Moto G7 runs on Android 9 Pie which is one of the latest versions of Google’s operating system. If you’re not a fan, you can always check out the Apple iPhone XS 64GB. The G7 Power comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of memory. An odd design choice considering the UK version comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory.

Battery Life

If there’s one area the Moto G7 Power excels in, it’s battery life. You’ll get a massive 5000mAH battery which should be good for three days of mixed use. If you only use your phone for calling and texting it should last even longer. It easily tops the list of phones with the best battery, even beating the Samsung Galaxy S10+. It also comes packed with a Turbo Charger and USB C cable that’ll charge the phone from 0 to 100 in only two hours!

Display

The screen size is 6.2 inches. This isn’t a positive or a negative, but more so depends on if you have big or small hands. But if you do prefer something smaller, consider the Apple iPhone 11 Pro. The Moto G7 Powe’s screen, however, only has a 720P resolution, which is lower than most other phones out there including this phone’s cousins, the G7 and the G7 Plus.

Durability

The phone is large and bulky, and that can be good or bad. A larger screen is decent for playing games and to give it a sense of durability if you drop it, but it’s also cumbersome to carry in your pocket. The phone also has odd-or normal if you’re a Moto fan-button and port placements, such as a headphone jack at the top of the phone instead of the bottom. But hey, at least it’s there!

Value

The Motorola Moto G7 Power comes in a variety of colors, such as marine blue, ceramic black, and clear white, just to name a few. The phone also supports 2.4 and 5Gz wi fi bands as well as wi-fi calling with T-Mobile. As I mentioned before, the large screen is great for gaming, so if you are going to use the phone primarily for that, you should check out the G7 Play too. If you want to spluurge or do not mind forking out some extra dollars then you can go for the Apple iPhone 11 Pro that offers similar features.

Motorola Moto G7 Power Wrap Up

It’s very odd why the performance benchmarks are different between the UK and US versions of the phone. The screen resolution isn’t as sharp either, but it should still be able to get the job done. Bottom line, the G7 Power is built for, well, power. Specifically, battery power. And boy does it have a lot of it.
