Walmart’s Big Save Event is the retail giant’s combat against Amazon Prime Day, and it starts up this Sunday, October 11 at 7 p.m. ET. Today’s arrival brings with it a 15-day FREE trial that allows new shoppers to try out perks from Walmart’s members-only service. With a $98 per year price tag, Walmart is undercutting Amazon on price and hoping to leverage its brick and mortar footprint to bring shoppers into the fold. With over 4,700 retail locations nationwide, there’s plenty of chances for shoppers to combine an online and in-person experience. Head below for full details on today’s launch along with details on how you can sign-up for a Walmart+ trial.
After months of speculation, teases, and reports, Walmart is officially announcing its new membership program. Walmart+, as it’s officially known, is set to launch as a direct Amazon Prime competitor with a few differences. Specifically, Walmart is hoping to use its biggest advantage over the online giant, brick and mortar, to its benefit.
Walmart+ combines the online presence of Walmart with 4,700 traditional retail locations to provide same-day delivery at over half of those stores. That’s on top of various other perks being announced today, like discounted fuel rates, in-app shopping with touch-free payment in-stores, and more. We have full details, including pricing information, below.
After years of Walmart and other retailers kicking off Black Friday festivities on Thanksgiving Day, the retail giant has officially announced that its stores will be closed on Thursday, November 27. This news comes alongside an announcement that it will give out employee bonuses of up to $300 as a thank you for working throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Walmart’s attempt to cut down on crowd sizes is not a huge shock and will arguably be welcomed by many, but a reduction of Black Friday shopping time will be a disappointment for some that really look forward to scoring in-person deals. Walmart has been tooling around with the idea of its own premium subscription shopping service for a while now. After we first caught wind earlier this year, it now appears that the launch of Walmart+ is imminent. Today, a new report details what can be expected from the service, which is slated to cost $98 per year, in a slight nod to Amazon’s own pricing. Among a wide range of perks will be faster shipping and delivery times, access to exclusive discounts, and more. As 2020 continues to shape up as a challenging year, to say the least, Walmart is almost certainly looking to add some cash influx with this new service. Full details below.

It’s no secret that Walmart and Amazon are fighting for who will take first place in the e-commerce race. It’s a story nearly as old as the Internet itself, who will be kind. While the brick and mortar retailer has tried and failed to start a few different membership services, the company has yet to give up. According to sources familiar with the company who spoke to Recode, we could see the world’s largest brick and mortar retailer launch a new subscription service dubbed Walmart+ as soon as next month.
With loads of smart TV operating systems out there, it can be hard to decide which is right for you. Thankfully switching between platforms is simple in some regards thanks to an increased level of competition to deliver a full ecosystem of products. While Roku initially became known for its streaming devices, an expansive smart TV rollout and recent launches of a sound bar, subwoofer, and wireless speakers have bolstered its strength as a lineup. Today the company is taking its audio products a step further by letting all of them pair together to create a Roku Surround Sound experience.

Update: Walmart’s Early Deal Drop is now live!
Black Friday news is starting to trickle in this week as retailers begin to ramp up for the holiday shopping season. Just yesterday, Best Buy announced a new free shipping policy. Today, one of the other significant retailers has unveiled its plans for Black Friday and beyond. Walmart will be kicking off the holiday madness this Friday, October 25th, at midnight EST to combat a “shorter holiday shopping season.” While Black Friday does fall later this year than usual, it’s tough to say we’re going to get fewer deals because of it. Nonetheless, Walmart is rolling out aggressive sales starting this weekend, and we have all the details down below.
For many of us, time is more valuable than money. With the official launch of InHome Delivery, Walmart is doing everything it can to put that time back in your day. While the service was announced early this summer, it took until now for the company to unleash the first rollout of it.
At launch it is limited to three cities, providing a leveled up grocery delivery service to over 1 million customers. Although the rollout is small, it’s arguably ahead of AmazonFresh as groceries get put away for you.

Amazon Prime Day has become a big deal. Not only have companies like eBay, Target, and Dell tried to cash in with sales of their own, Walmart has thrown its hat in the ring with a couple of notable differences that give it a leg up on Amazon.
Thousands of Walmart rollbacks and special buys will grace a sale that one-ups Amazon by starting a day earlier and lasting a total of three days. While no official Walmart rollbacks or other promotions have been publicized, customers should expect top-tier products to make an appearance in an attempt to distract from what Amazon has in store.

Following the official unveiling of its InHome Delivery grocery service earlier this month, Walmart is back at it again with a new yearly membership which looks Amazon Prime square in the eyes. Delivery Unlimited is launching in select markets for $98 annually as a means for the brick and mortar retailer to compete with Instacart, Target Shipt and Amazon’s continually expanding Whole Foods efforts. Today’s announcement moves shoppers away from the per-order delivery fee commonly associated with Walmart grocery purchases in favor of the annual membership, which is also available at $12.95 per month. Either way, Walmart is moving to cash in on its expansive retail footprint, which is an area Amazon will be playing catch up with a for long time. Head below for more details and a free 15-day trial.
Walmart has announced a bold new initiative this morning that will bring grocery delivery from the retail giant to a whole new level. Walmart InHome Delivery will give workers access to your home, allowing them to put your food directly into the fridge without shoppers even having to be in the house. There are a lot of questions, and rightly so, about security and keeping all parties involved safe along the way. Walmart looks to alleviate these concerns by outfitting delivery personnel with body cameras. Like Amazon’s Key service, shoppers will be able to monitor progress via an app whether at home or on-the-go. There’s a lot of moving pieces here, but for the brave at heart, you’ll be able to have Walmart delivery your groceries straight to the fridge. Head below for more.
If you’re still using a 1080p TV or maybe a smaller 4K unit, upgrading might seem daunting. While some 65-inch 4K TVs can be quite expensive, Walmart aims to bring 4K to the masses with its new ONN brand. Walmart isn’t just focusing on 4K here, the shopping mega giant has its hands in multiple areas from 24-inch 720p displays all the way to 65-inch 4K. Keep reading to find out more.
Walmart has announced this morning that it’s directly taking on Amazon’s upcoming Prime delivery changes with its own commitment to 1-day delivery. And in typical fashion, Walmart is making sure to point out that its own service will not require an additional membership, unlike Amazon. Today’s announcement comes after a decade long journey by the brick-and-mortar retail store to keep in step with Amazon and other online retailers for customers. Back 2011 Walmart introduced same day pick-up followed by two-day shipping in 2017. Seemingly every move Amazon has made during this time period has been met by a Walmart response. The question really is, does anyone care about Walmart NextDay delivery? We explore further below.

Much like Apple does with its store catalog, Target reviews and curates the items that make it into its retail and online outlets. Target does this to make the shopping experience a high-end one by weeding out options that are of lesser quality. Naturally this approach has prevented it from letting third-parties sell on its website like Amazon and Walmart currently do.
The company has unveiled a solution that keeps customers from being overwhelmed but also allows it compete on some level. It is called Target Plus (displayed in marketing as Target +) and according to the company, third-party offerings will still be curated in an attempt to keep the shopping experience simple.

Google’s Hi-Fi Assistant Speaker offers access to everything you already love about the voice assistant, but with much higher-quality audio than the Home Mini. We think it’s “an absolutely fantastic speaker,” but if you don’t want to take our word for it, over. 100 customers have left a 4.6/5 star rating.

Ever since Amazon launched its Prime service back in 2005, it has been wreaking havoc on brick-and-mortar stores. With the ability to quickly find items, check reviews, and have most products delivered in two days or less, it is really not much of a surprise that Prime has surpassed 100 million subscribers. While many stores have tried to compete by launching better websites and offering free shipping on orders that exceed a certain threshold, Amazon is still king when it comes to online shopping. With Walmart’s acquisition of Jet.com back in 2016 and its major site refresh today, the company has shown that it is far from conceding to the online shopping giant.
