The set comes with a total of 523 pieces that all work together to provide builders with everything needed to make their own robots. LEGO touts that its hardware is easy to use and that the decision to use Scratch as the programming language will result in an intuitive experience for everyone involved.

$13Amazon offers the Hasbro Ouija Board Game for $12.88 Prime shipped. Same at Walmart with in-store pickup, while Best Buy has it for $17. Regularly around $20 at Amazon, this is the lowest price we’ve tracked there. Ask the spirits, if you dare, all of those burning questions to which you’re desperately seeking answers. Just don’t make like several unfortunate Amazon shoppers and accidentally summon demons (or worse). By the way, it’s rated 3.9/5 stars.
When it comes to playing video games on-the-go, the last decade has brought us a robust line-up of options. From iPhone and Android to Nintendo Switch and 3DS there is certainly no shortage of games to play.
Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions has delivered several authentic NES games to the masses, but the Switch’s form-factor can still be too large to carry in some circumstances. To combat this problem, Super Impulse, the makers of Tiny Arcades, is at it again with a new design that is as small as a credit card.
We now have the Walmart 2018 Toy Book. After seeing what will be the biggest toys of the year from Amazon, Target, eBay, Sam’s Club, Best Buy and many more, it’s time to see what Walmart is expecting to be popular over the next couple months. Stay locked to our Black Friday 2018 Guide as official ads/deals begin to roll out and head below for more on the Walmart 2018 Toy Book.

Osmo is a well-known name when it comes to STEM smart-connected teaching tools. The company has made iPad-enabled learning games for kids ages 5 and up for some time now, but recently announced that these products will come to Amazon’s Fire line of tablets.
This is great because Amazon’s Fire tablet lineup is more affordable than Apple’s iPad, and makes it an easier entry point into homes to help kids learn and grow.
Well, you know when Amazon releases its Top 100 Toys of the Year list it likely means the summer is coming to a close. Fortunately, that also means we are just months away from the busy deal season where we see the lowest prices of the year on the hottest items out there. Amazon’s 2018 toys list is full of usuals like LEGO, Nerf, Melissa & Doug and Star Wars items, but we are also seeing some interesting STEM products from littlebits, Anki, Osmo and more.

No matter how old school board games and the like may seem these days, they just won’t seem to go away. Even with the amazing experiences we get on mobile and how far developers can take realism in the AAA console space, there’s just something about those vintage tabletop games that continues to bring friends and families together. While it has certainly been a while since we saw some kind of interesting innovation in the cardboard dice-rolling world, these new internal CIA training board games certainly caught our attention.

The classic 1980’s children’s toy, the Rubik’s Cube has remained a staple to this day for scientists, mathematicians and nerds alike. Completing the puzzle in minutes has been achieved by a few bright individuals and in recent years, researchers have trained robots to complete the task in a matter of seconds. Most recently, the Rubik’s Cube has been solved in only 0.38-seconds robotically. That beats the previous record by almost half. Head below to see the video and learn how it was achieved.
Rocket League has announced this week that it will be bringing a handful of new DC Comics-inspired cars to virtual arenas near you. The DC Super Heroes DLC pack comes with two total Batman-inspired rides along with additional options for Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman and others. Generally speaking, Toy Fair New York is dominated by new hardware from the biggest toy manufacturers in the world. LEGO, Star Wars, Mattel, Hasbro and others have all shown new building kits, characters and STEM sets. But now it’s time to look at a new escape room-style board game.
After making the rounds in the crowdfunding space last year, and then finally being picked up by Mattel shortly thereafter, Escape Room in a Box: The Werewolf Experiment is now ready for prime time. The unique board game is taking cues from the increasing popularity of those physical escape rooms popping up in a town near you.

We are pretty excited about Toy Fair 2018 around here. While it may not yield the most interesting and unique innovations in the world of tech the way something like CES does, it’s a chance for us to dive head first into new LEGO kits, Star Wars action figures, and that brand new Hot Wheels/Rocket League cross-over.
Needless to say, some of the hottest toys of the year for children and adults alike will be surfacing over the next few days. And right now it’s time for the latest Elenco Snap Circuits kits…

Teaching your kids how to code seems to be the newest trend with many toy manufacturers and startups alike. We’ve seen a few of these new kits and robots emerge over the last few months. But, have we gone too far? Just how early should kids start to learn the basics of coding? You would think three years old is a little too early. They should at least be out of diapers before taking on computer programming, right? Well not in this case. Cubetto is a little different than your average robo-coder and it met its fundraising goal of $100,000 in one day at Kickstarter.
