The latest Apple Watch was unveiled last week with a blood oxygen sensor that arguably leads the pack when it comes to the feature set found in the new device. As with every Apple release, it’s generally not long until competitors turn up the heat with dialed-back pricing. Huami is hoping to turn some heads with its new Amazfit Band 5, which appears to punch above its weight with a remarkably low price. Just a few months after Tag Heuer unleashed its last Wear OS offering, the luxury watchmaker is back at it again. The new release is referred to as Tag Heuer Connected Golf Edition, and is an iteration of the last. It expands the company’s lineup while delivering a robust, golf-focused smartphone companion. Nearly 1-year after Garmin dropped its Approach Z80 rangefinder, a next-generation offering has been unveiled. It’s dubbed Garmin Approach Z82, and the company claims it is “the industry’s most accurate golf laser range finder.” Once armed with this range finder, golfers will be able to gauge distances of up to 450-yards with accuracy that comes within 10-inches or less. With several successful products under its belt, Oru Kayak is back at it again with its most compact and easy-to-tote option yet. Dubbed Oru Kayak Inlet, the company’s latest model heavily prioritizes portability, weight, and foldability. On top of that, it’s ready to support up to 275 pounds of weight and kayakers up to six foot, two inches tall.

Oru Kayak Inlet weighs under twenty pounds, folds down to 42 by 19-inch dimensions, and can easily be hauled to the water without needing a traditional roof rack. Given the materials used and small size, it can even be checked on planes, making it a great option for folks that travel frequently.

Based in the Netherlands, Tacx has been in business since 1957 and has evolved in the technology sector to deliver indoor bicycle training equipment. With ownership being finalized back in April, the last couple of months has lead us to today’s official release of new Garmin Tacx indoor cycling trainers.

Tracking your fitness goals with smart devices is super simple. There are apps for tracking your fitness journeys, water intake, and more. Fitbit, Google Fit, and Apple Health all track your weight and there are even scales that integrate with the services to make logging every day simple. Though some of those scales are expensive, RolliBot recently introduced its RolliFit scale for just $50 which can automatically put your BMI, BMR, weight, and more into some of these services.

It only took a few weeks of using Alexa to make me want everything I own to offer some sort of integration with Amazon’s ever-popular voice assistant. Prior to adding around fifteen Echo Dots throughout my home, I would have seen something like Cybic’s Alexa-equipped Legend bicycle as sort of ridiculous, but now I actually want one.

In addition to Alexa, the Cybic Legend also packs impressive features like Wi-Fi, 3G, and a touchscreen. All of this is put into what I consider a sleek-looking design that I would love to ride along the trails around my home.

Xiaomi has done it again. Today the company announced an upgrade to its Mi Band. Similar to its predecessor, the Mi Band 2, the Mi Band 3 is a fitness tracker packed with lots of features at a very affordable price. It retains many features, and somehow they found a way to pack in new features while keeping the price nearly the same. A move that clashes with the recent trend of consumer electronics becoming more expensive year over year.
