After catching a glimpse of the upcoming GameStop sale this morning and the Mushroom Kingdom Holiday Gift Guide at the tail end of last week, we now have this year’s Nintendo Black Friday deals. As usual, Nintendo’s holiday offers don’t necessarily come in the form of a traditional ad, but rather a specialized page on its site highlighting some of the official price drops that will be available at select (most) retailers for the holidays. This year is no exception with special edition consoles, price drops on games, and more. 

After seeing lists from Amazon, GameStop, adidas, and many more, we now have the 2020 Nintendo Holiday Gift Guide. Super Mario, Link, Pikachu, and your favorite Animal Crossing personalities are front and center this year, with the 35th-anniversary gear on display, as well as Nintendo’s hard-to-get consoles, and more. Amazon will now be shipping out random orders in special edition Super Mario packaging. As part of the titular hero’s 35th Anniversary, Nintendo has teamed up with Amazon to create a historical splash page for the Mushroom Kingdom as well as the limited edition packaging. The special edition Amazon Nintendo packaging will be hitting doorsteps throughout the month of November, but purchasing Nintendo gear on Amazon won’t guarantee you score it. More details below. 

Today, Nintendo’s latest first-party title is launching on the Switch. While Wii U owners had a chance to dive into Pikmin 3 when it was released the first time around, Nintendo is giving gamers another chance to play the latest title in the franchise in a new deluxe version that I’ve been exploring over the past week for this review. Today, Nintendo announced that it’ll be permanently lowering the price on its replacement Joy-Con controllers. The company had been charging a premium to replace a broken or defective part of its unique Switch controllers, but now, pricing is being dropped to $40 from the original $50. As part of Nintendo’s continued effort to provide its player base with a constant string of free content, today we are getting our first look at the new Animal Crossing Halloween update for New Horizons. Earlier this month, Nintendo issued the fall update with new creatures to catch, materials to craft, and trinkets to collect, and, as expected, next month is all about pumpkins, costumes, and a special trick-or-treat event. It looks like a new Kirby game — Kirby Fighters 2 —  is on the way for Nintendo Switch. The sequel appeared briefly on Nintendo’s website without ever being officially announced before the site became inaccessible, and the game was subsequently taken down. However, the folks over at Siliconera and Twitter user Wario64 captured some screenshots and details regarding the presumably upcoming Kirby fighting game. All of the details are down below.

Nintendo is expanding the collection of retro titles available on its Switch Online platform today with four new releases. Nintendo published a video today highlighting some of the new Animal Crossing content coming for fall. Reports are now suggesting a new upgraded and possibly 4K Nintendo Switch console is in the works. Nintendo has now unveiled a new pink Switch Lite console. Well, it’s officially known as Coral, but a new colorway nonetheless.
