While many folks are really waiting on the next Game Cube additions, Nintendo is turning back to its N64 library this month to introduce a pair of classic 3D polygonal platformers (and they are going live every soon).

Update: The new Virtual Boy hardware is now available for purchase directly from Nintendo for Switch Online members. “This product can be purchased by those who have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. To play games in the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics, you will need an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. The Nintendo Switch Lite is not compatible.”
During today’s lengthy Nintendo Direct, we did not get any updates on the Switch Online GameCube library, but Nintendo did officially announce Virtual Boy! It is ready to add an entirely new console to its Nintendo Classics collection in the form of the ultra-retro Virtual Boy library alongside an actual Virtual Boy peripheral you stick your Switch or Switch 2 inside of. Nintendo recently unveiled the upcoming Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 version, as well as a FREE update to the Switch version. But for folks who for some reason haven’t scored a copy of the Switch version, Woot is offering physical boxed versions down at $44.99 Prime shipped from the usual $60 list price.
