This particular drive has fetched as much as $84 in recent months, and it’s been sitting at the $82 mark since last month. Today’s deal on Amazon delivers a solid $19 discount to land the lowest price we’ve tracked for it this year. Only once before today have we tracked this M.2 model for any less, though we haven’t seen it fetch anything less than $71 since the industry-wide price hike hit SSDs in 2024. We just spotted a solid deal on Amazon that drops Lexar’s brand-new 4TB PLAY 2280 Gen 4 internal SSD down to $298.99 shipped. This particular drive hit the scene in late August carrying a $380 price tag. Today’s deal lands as its first big price drop, delivering a solid $81 discount on its launch price. It dropped to the $320 mark before quickly jumping back up to $352 last month, but it’s down to its lowest price right now on Amazon, just in time for when the PS5 Pro units went up once again earlier today.
