Apple is back again with another big sale on iOS games in the App Store. We saw some of these titles on sale through the week and now Apple has officially collected them as part of its “Great Games” sale. Many of these apps are big names that we rarely see go on sale.
IGN is now offering Bloons Tower Defense 5 for iPhone/iPod and the HD version for iPad as its free game of the month. These titles typically go for $3 and $5 respectively, with today’s price drop being only the second time the iPhone version has gone free and the first instance for the HD rendition. While we have seen the app drop down to free previous to being updated to the latest version this morning, Scanner Pro 6 is currently available for 50% off for a limited time. Target is about to serve up a couple of stellar Apple deals on a silver platter. Starting this Sunday, July 5th, Target will discount iPhone 6/Plus 16GB by $69, bringing prices down to $129.99 and $229.99 when purchased on a 2-year contract. Nearly 7 months after its original release date, iPad Air 2 has finally made its way to Apple’s online Refurbished Store. Prices start at $419 (Reg. $499) for a 16GB Wi-Fi model and go all the way up to $689 (Reg. $829) for a fully-loaded 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model. As of right now there are a lot of different models available in each color (Gold, Silver, Space Gray), but that can change quickly as Apple’s refurbished inventory is extremely limited.

Hundreds of App Store reviewers have given it a near-perfect rating while praising its unique gameplay. After a quick parsing of the reviews, it seems like the screenshots and promo images don’t do this game justice. From what I was able to discern, this is a game you need to play to appreciate.
