The 2025 Game Awards started with a bang from a galaxy far, far away this year – Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic has arrived. You can check the first teaser screenshots and trailer down below, as well as some early details. 

The 2025 Game Awards goes live tonight Peacock Theater in Los Angeles with over 3 hours of game reveals and almost certainly some world premiers, musical performances, and…some awards too I guess. Best Buy’s annual 12 Days of Gaming sale is now in full swing. Everyday from now through December 19, the retailer will serve up a new collection of gaming deals, usually consisting of one standout console title each day accompanied by some accessories and the like. Today, 12 Days of Gaming is headlined by Assassin’s Creed Shadows on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S down at $34.99, that’s 50% off the $70 list price and among the best deals we have tracked to date.

Nintendo has now unveiled the next GameCube game coming to Switch 2 via its Switch Online Nintendo Classics library – Wario World – and it’s playable right now. 

Nintendo has now officially the next games set to land in its Nintendo 64 Switch Online library. While many folks are really waiting on the next Game Cube additions, Nintendo is turning back to its N64 library this month to introduce a pair of classic 3D polygonal platformers (and they are going live every soon). 

While perhaps not the most ideal option, deals on the new Pokémon Legends: Z-A have been somewhere between very hard to come by and completely non-existent. Over at Woot, however, you will find the Switch version marked down from the regular $60 to $44.99 with free shipping for Prime members (a $6 delivery fee will apply otherwise). This is indeed the Latin America Version of the game with a Spanish cover, but “all Nintendo Switch Video Games are Region Free and will function normally in any Switch console. Units ship with Spanish as the main language and English as the secondary language on the packaging.” Again, it might not be exactly what you were after, but it also might kind of an interesting collectible for U.S. gamers too, and it is one of the lowest prices we have tracked on the game to date. 

Update: The new Virtual Boy hardware is now available for purchase directly from Nintendo for Switch Online members. “This product can be purchased by those who have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. To play games in the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics, you will need an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. The Nintendo Switch Lite is not compatible.”

During today’s lengthy Nintendo Direct, we did not get any updates on the Switch Online GameCube library, but Nintendo did officially announce Virtual Boy! It is ready to add an entirely new console to its Nintendo Classics collection in the form of the ultra-retro Virtual Boy library alongside an actual Virtual Boy peripheral you stick your Switch or Switch 2 inside of. Details below. 

Update: Silent Hill f has hit a new Amazon all-time low today at $47.50, down from the regular $70 list price.

The Nintendo Black Friday deals are in full swing now with solid 50% price drops across loads of physical Switch games, a solid eShop Cyber sale, and new all-time low pricing on some of he 2025 amiibo releases, but we are taking a quick break to take a look at some new Nintendo Classics NES and Game Boy titles this morning. 

The official Nintendo Black Friday deals are now live! Sony has just officially announced the 2025 PlayStation Black Friday deals. The next major Nintendo Switch 2 release is quickly approaching with the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond set to land early next month. Now just under 3 weeks from launch, and just after Nintendo unleashed the recent Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – Survive trailer we featured, a brand new Metroid Prime 4 Overview trailer has just released on the Nintendo Today! App – we are assuming it will be up on its YouTube and X channels very soon (if it isn’t already). 

Red Dead Redemption – Rockstar’s Wild West epic – has been available on Switch for a couple years now, and after details leaked on the ESRB site suggested it would be receiving a native Switch 2 port very soon, Rockstar has made it official – Red Dead Redemption is coming to Switch 2 (and a bunch of other platforms) next month.

The official Nintendo Black Friday 2025 deals have now been announced! Noooooooo! After being delayed earlier this year, the most anticipated game, maybe ever, has now been delayed again. Rockstar has now announced that Grand Theft Auto VI has been pushed once again until even later in 2026. 

It appears as those some of the upcoming PlayStation Black Friday deals have leaked. Not only did PlayStation seemingly just post some quick details and key art for an upcoming PlayStation Store sale before it even went live, but the PlayStation 5 Black Friday console bundle has also surfaced online. 

Nintendo finally revealed the December launch date for the long awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond after nearly a year of waiting, and it just debuted a brand new trailer for the game you can check out below. 

Nintendo recently unveiled the upcoming Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 version, as well as a FREE update to the Switch version. But for folks who for some reason haven’t scored a copy of the Switch version, Woot is offering physical boxed versions down at $44.99 Prime shipped from the usual $60 list price. Nintendo has now officially launched Luigi’s Mansion for the GameCube Nintendo Classic library. As we reported previously, and after teasing the game months ago, Nintendo has launched the retro ghost hunting action right on (ahead of) schedule.
