For those seeking a lightweight vacuum to clean their car and furniture, the best Dyson vacuum for the job is a V6 Trigger. Not only is it cordless, that doesn’t stop it from being a monster in terms of performance and power, thanks to its powerful motor and suction technology. If you’d rather have a typical vacuum, take a look at the Dyson DC35 Multi-Floor vacuum review.

Why We Like It – Dyson V6 Trigger

Dyson brought its signature performance and technology to a small cordless vacuum, without sacrificing power and still keeping it affordable.

Pros
  • Powerful suction Dyson is known for
  • Light; makes it easy to use
  • Brand recognition
Cons
  • Poor battery life
  • Better Dyson models available

Performance

Dyson incorporated its powerful Digital Motor V6 to provide it’s amazing suction power. To further compound its power, a two-tier radial cyclone system was used. What that does is increase air flow, which further improves its ability to pick up fine dust.

Where it falters is its run time. It only lasts for 20 minutes, but for those 20 minutes, the handheld vacuum never reduces its power. On that same note, it lacks a mini motorized tool necessary for picking up fine pet hair. Consider the Dyson DC65 Animal if you have pets, but note that it isn’t a handheld vacuum.

Design

The V6 Trigger is one of the lightest handheld vacuums Dyson has to offer. And yet, the V6 Trigger still puts out some serious performance. Size isn’t a detriment to the handheld vacuum. It was also made easier to handle by placing the center of gravity on the handle. The dust bin is hygienic, only needing one button to release the dirt. An additional crevice tool comes with the package, providing a way to vacuum hard-to-reach corners, nooks, and crannies.

Value

Dyson manufactures some of the best vacuums in the business, both big and small. The kind of technology incorporated needed for its performance is hard to match. You’ll always get your money’s worth with a Dyson vacuum.

With that said, the Dyson V6 Trigger has a very niche use. For starters, it’s only a handheld vacuum with a single tool. The Dyson V6 Motorhead, for example, has two on-board accessories and can clean floor to ceiling with its stick extension. In other words: the Motorhead can do what the Trigger does, only better.

Dyson V6 Trigger Wrap Up

For what it’s worth, the Dyson V6 Trigger is amazing when it comes to cleaning upholstery in your living room or car—especially in this hard to reach places underneath the seats. It’s also lightweight and easy to use with the right balancing. Even though a better Dyson model is available, you’re still getting a Dyson product. And that means performance.
