Dyson Vacuums have a reputation for making big technological leaps in the vacuum design world and then waiting until those become industry standard. This hasn’t changed with the V11. This $700.00 price tag may drive some people away, but you can’t argue over the quality of vacuum you’re getting. Check out our best Dyson vacuum list to see how the V11 compares!

Why We Like It – Dyson V11 Torque Drive

This Dyson Stick vacuum is a worthy investment for anyone looking for a new vacuum, stick or not. It sucks up fine dust particles and pet hair with ease (it can easily even lift up your whole carpet) due to its incredible power, and an intuitive LCD Screen lets you select your preferred cleaning mode with ease.

Pros
  • Technologically advanced cleaner head
  • Fantastic LCD Screen
  • Variety of different models
Cons
  • Only available in one colour
  • Docking station sold separately

Performance

The Dyson V11 Torque Drive Vacuum Cleaner comes with three power modes: eco mode, boost mode, and auto mode. The Dyson V11’s high torque cleaner head may earn special recognition here as the dynamic load sensor (DLS) checks resistance to the brush head to calibrate the suction power and preserve battery life. It works great with a variety of floor types and captures fine dust on hard floors and pet hair on carpets (or whatever else is in your carpet, really). If you’re looking for a Dyson Vacuum that’s specifically good for pet hair, the Dyson DC65 Animal should have you covered.

Design

The Dyson V11 Cordless Stick Vacuum has an LCD Screen at the top of the vacuum that lets you toggle between your three modes. You would wonder how Dyson managed to get it in there considering stick vacuums aren’t the biggest vacuums around, but the V11 Torque Drive Cordless Vacuum does manage to get it in there, makes it not too small, and makes it easily operable. The V11 Torque Drive Cordless Vacuum comes in a Nickel/Fuschia colour, which is nice, but you get a choice between Nickel/Blue and Gold in the Absolute Model, which, I think, should also be an option with the standard model. If you don’t really need a floor vac, but just an impressive handheld that can hold its own with floors, try the Dyson V6 Trigger.

Value

The Dyson V11 Cordless Stick Vacuum does come with a docking station, but it’s sold separately. Unfortunate, considering so many things, like the quick-release mini soft dusting brush and the mini motorized tool, already come with this Dyson Cordless Vacuum. It retails for $700.00 on Amazon but comes in another version, the V11 Animal, for about $100.00 less and with many of the same amenities for you budget-conscious shoppers out there. You can also check out the Dyson V6 Motorhead Vacuum as it tends to run a little cheaper as well.

Dyson V11 Torque Drive Wrap Up

This Dyson Vacuum continues the Dyson tradition of technological leaps that Dyson pioneers. Those who can pay a little more get additional features, like a docking station and colour variety, which is a little unfair, but you’re still getting a high-quality Dyson vacuum overall. If you can focus on that portion of it, you’re set!
