Making its stand out as a budget phone, the Cubot X19 showcases a remarkable performance with a configuration rarely found at this price. It manages to pack in a great 16MP camera and even a pretty long battery life all while also allowing you to use fingerprint ID as well as face unlock. And so paired with a pretty good design, the Cubot X19 stands out as potentially the best android phone at its price range.

Why We Like It – Cubot X19

Coming with 8 cores of CPU and 4GB of RAM, the Cubot X19 is a pretty capable phone at its price range. It even offers you both face unlock as well as a fingerprint reader making it easier and faster than ever to unlock your phone. And despite being so affordable, the Cubot X19 even manages to provide you with a more than capable back camera, perfect for snapshots and taking portrait pictures, all while making sure your battery lasts through an entire day.

Pros
  • Good performance for the price
  • Great camera
  • Impressive battery life
Cons
  • No NFC functionality

Performance

Powered by the MediaTek Helio P23 (MT6763T) processor, the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 770 MHz GPU and 4GB of RAM, the Cubot X19 sure packs in a whole lot of performance despite its price. Allowing you to play many games to pretty great extent on par if not surpassing the Huawei Y7 as well as the Samsung A70. Apart from that, having Android 9.0 Pie as its operating system it performs pretty well for almost every other use, with no additional bloatware slowing it down. And when it comes to the camera, the Cubot X19 stands out once again among its similarly priced counterparts. While it isn’t up to par with the Samsung A70s camera or the Google Pixel 3A, it allows you to take splendid 15.93Mp pictures as well as shoot videos with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. As for its front camera you get a 8 Mp camera which shoots moderately well selfies but definitely not something you’d be proud of.

Moreover, running it all for a long time, the Cubot X19 comes packed with a 4000mAh battery which gives it almost an entire day’s worth of charge considering its 5.93 Inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160p and an aspect ratio of 18:9. All of this performs extremely well and considering how you can get into the device via both fingerprint ID as well as your face you won’t ever have trouble with unlocking the phone in an emergency.

However, the part where the Cubot X19 falls behind the Moto E5 is when it comes to functionality. It does provide you with a dual sim space as well as the option to replace the second nano sim with a SD card to expand the already pretty decent 64GB internal memory. But, unlike the Moto E5 you can’t make mobile payments with this as it doesn’t support NFC functionality.

Design

Measuring 155 x 74.67 x 9.55mm and weighing just 197g, the Cubot X19 is a pretty thin and light smartphone. It’s easy to carry around and with a USB Type-C charging port as well as a headphone jack, it makes for pretty good connectivity as well as faster charging and data transfer. It fits easily into your pocket, and having a number of colours on its glossy finish upon the plastic body you can get yourself a pretty great looking phone for a sweet price.

Value

Speaking of a sweet price, the Cubot X19 approximates around $110 and allows you to do all your tasks seemingly well. While it does lack behind in a NFC function which everyone doesn’t need, the rest of its specs and features make it a one of a kind phone that too at this price range. It performs relatively well compared to similarly priced models like the Moto E5 and so, if you’re looking for a phone and you’re on a pretty tight budget, the Cubot X19 is indeed a great value phone for you.

Cubot X19 Wrap Up

While the Cubot X19 may not have as good cameras as the Google Pixel 3A or a NFC function as like many other phones, if you can get past that and consider how you’ll be getting yourself a great looking build that comes with the performance you need, even for gaming in most cases, and a camera that is greatly worth the few extra bucks above the Moto E5 all with a long lasting battery, you will find the Cubot X19 to be just the perfect phone for you budget buyers out there.
