Dubbed the “Trunk,” the company has created a short, flexible Lightning cable that is strong enough to hold up an iPhone vertically when charging in the wall or elsewhere. We’ve seen similar dock solutions before that are married with wall adapters, but Trunk makes it easy to prop up your iPhone no matter where you are.

Ahead of the official May 3rd launch of the Iron Man 3 feature film, today Gameloft has released the iOS app tie-in taking place after the events of the movie. According to the game’s iTunes page, Iron Man 3 sees the player take up the role of peacekeeper playing as Tony Stark in an “additive, endless 3D runner”.

Apple today started offering a couple new models of its latest generation iMac through its refurbished online store. Previously Apple was offering refurbished units of the new 21.5-inch iMac only, but we hadn’t seen any 27-inch models hit yet, which we assumed was likely due to yield issues and significant delays experienced in the iMac’s first few months of launch. Today Apple has finally started offering both the entry level 27-inch iMac and the higher end iMac, in addition to a couple of BTO models. Mac gaming aficionados Aspyr Media is releasing a much anticipated update to its Borderlands 2 Mac App Store title. Starting today, users will be able to install version 1.3.2 to get access to Mac vs Mac co-op multiplayer through Game Center, as well as 5 new downloadable content packs available via in-app purchase that include the 5th playable character– The Mechromancer.

To celebrate the update, Aspyr is currently offering Borderlands 2 for 50% off the Mac App Store, allowing Mac users to grab the game for $29.99 (Regular $59.99) for a limited time.

Update: Walmart’s iPad mini deal is now available for shipping.

Best Buy started offering some nice deals on the previous generation iPad 3 with Retina display today with most models available for up to 30 percent off normal retail prices. One of the most enticing deals will let online shoppers get their hands on a 16GB Wi-Fi only model for just $314. A 32GB Wi-Fi only model is available for as low as $384 ($165 off retail).

The retailer is offering deals on other iPad 3 models as well, such as the 16GB iPad 3 with Wi-Fi + Cellular on AT&T for $405.99.

Walmart also has an attractive iPad deal today, offering the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad mini for $299. That’s $30 off retail and around the same amount refurbished models are going for. Amazon announced today in a press release that it is lowering the price of its the largest tablet in the U.S., the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″.  The price of the entry level WiFi only model drops from $299 to $269, while the 4G variant will now sell for $399 (down from $499 previously). In addition, the company is also rolling out the device to a handful of new countries including: the UK, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, and Italy.

The 8.9-inch tablet  includes a1920x1200, 254 ppi display, TI OMAP4470 processor, 1GB of RAM, Custom Dolby audio and dual stereo speakers, 10 hours of battery life, and of course access to Amazon’s ecosystem of content.
