Best Buy Black Friday

Best Buy is typically one of our favorite Black Friday retailers and this year is shaping up to be much of the same. You can expect hefty online and in-store discounts across just about every category, including Apple products. Head below for all the details on this year’s Best Buy Black Friday event.

When is Black Friday at Best Buy?

Black Friday is November 23rd, 2018. Historically, Best Buy has opened its brick and mortar stores on Thanksgiving Day at 5PM through midnight, then again on Friday morning by 8AM. Of course, shoppers will be able to shop at Best Buy online throughout Thanksgiving week.

The best Black Friday deals at Best Buy will be available starting on Thursday, but don’t be surprised if prices start dropping on Sunday, November 18th. Competition is heating up for consumers’ money earlier than ever before and we expect Best Buy to follow suit.

Will Best Buy be open on Thanksgiving?

Yes. Best Buy is typically open Thanksgiving evening for a select number of hours.

When will the Best Buy Black Friday ad be released?

In 2017 we saw the Best Buy Black Friday ad pop up on November 8th. It was a few days later in 2016. You can just about count on a guaranteed release by Sunday, November 10th. That’s just under two weeks before Black Friday and about the latest that you would expect a major retailer to release its Black Friday ad.

Best Buy Free Shipping

Best Buy offers free shipping on orders of $35 or more. Free in-store pickup is always available, although access to your purchase may be delayed depending on inventory. Those with a My Best Buy Elite or Elite Plus account can enjoy free shipping on all orders.

How to save at Best Buy on Black Friday

The best way to ensure you’re ready to save at Best Buy Black Friday is to sign-up for a My Best Buy account. Historically, Best Buy has offered exclusive savings for its members along with early access to sales. Those with Elite memberships can get dollar for dollar rewards along with the opportunity to save even further with a My Best Buy credit card.

We’ll also be on the lookout for discounted Best Buy gift cards during the lead up to Black Friday. Oftentimes we see deals from PayPal and other retailers with free credit at Best Buy.

Will there be Best Buy Doorbusters?

Yes. Doorbusters are synonymous with Best Buy. In fact, outside of Walmart, Best Buy is one of our favorite doorbuster retailers. You can expect to see limited inventory of heavily discounted TVs, along with deals on gaming consoles, iPads and more. Some of these offers will be limited to brick and mortar locations with other deals available online starting at midnight.

Will Best Buy price match competitors on Black Friday?

Yes. Best Buy does offer a price match guarantee. However, Best Buy often only goes to manufacturer approved pricing levels while retailers like Amazon are much more aggressive. You can learn more about Best Buy’s price match guarantee right here.

What will be on sale at Best Buy Black Friday?

Best Buy is typically our favorite retailer for Apple deals. Typically we see the most aggressive discounts throughout the year around Black Friday on iPad and Apple Watch. Best Buy will also offer steep deals on TVs, gaming consoles and more. Last year’s Black Friday sale also included notable offers on DJI drones and Philips Hue lighting.
