Destiny 2: Forsaken, the game’s most controversial update, is available for pre-order

Destiny is a beloved gaming franchise from Bungie that people play on every platform. I’ve been a huge fan of the series from the first game on my original Xbox One, and now own Destiny 2 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Destiny 2 was great at the beginning, but quickly flittered out and I lost interested like with the original game.

This is something that Destiny is known for, launching with a fairly decent game that’s fun for a while, but not really becoming a must-play until a few updates later. Well, we’re at those updates, and Destiny 2: Forsaken is just around the corner, promising the “most transformative moment in Destiny 2.”

Announced at E3 2018, this is one of the most controversial updates that Bungie has released for Destiny to date. The original trailer showed the death of Cayde-6, a long-loved member of the Destiny franchise played by Nathan Fillion. And yes, this death was later confirmed by Bungie to be real (excuse me while I wipe these tears away.)

Destiny 2: Forsaken will allow you to take justice into your own hands to pursue vengeance for Cayde-6. You’ll have opportunities to explore new regions, unlock new abilities, and earn a wealth of powerful new weapons plus many more. There’s plenty to do in Destiny 2: Forsaken, and the Legendary Collection is available for pre-order today.

This new collection will give you the base game, Expansion I: Curse of Osiris, Expansion II: Warmind, and Forsaken at $59.99. Pre-order members will also receive a special suite of rewards that commemorate Cayde-6’s last stand, as he’s one of the most memorable characters in the game.

Cayde-6’s “Exotic Stash” will give you a unique exotic weapon ornament for the Ace of Spaces hand cannon, his ship, an exotic gunslinger emote, and shaders of Cayde to decorate any piece of armor with his colors.

Destiny 2: Forsaken Complete Collection gives a full Forsaken experience, and also includes the Destiny 2: Forsaken Annual Pass. This will delivery players content more frequently, by including a regular stream of post-launch updates. You’ll gain access to three premium content drops, one in Window 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019.

PlayStation gamers will get even more exclusive content for Forsaken, including a ship, weapon, armor sets, a Strike, and more until Fall 2019.

You can pre-order Destiny 2: Forsaken at Amazon, GameStop, Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and Battle.net (for PC players). Delivery is set for September 4th, 2018.
