What is Amazon Prime Now?

Rumor has it, Amazon Prime members will soon be receiving new perks at Whole Foods. Since the online shopping giant purchased the health food store, Amazon has been giving its Prime members more and more reasons to shop there.

The latest perks? Potentially 10% off already discounted prices, exclusive sales, and more.

Sources recently told CNBC that Amazon is about to give its Prime members new benefits for shopping at Whole Foods.

Currently, that source claims around 75% of Whole Foods shoppers are Prime members, but only around 20% of actual Prime members shop at Whole Foods.

Whole Foods has already tested exclusive deals for Prime members on Valentine’s Day and Thanksgiving, with more to come, we expect.

Other perks, like free delivery of Whole Foods products to Prime members, have already started rolling out in limited areas. This could potentially help smaller vendors that normally have a shopping base limited to physical stores.

Who wouldn’t shop at Whole Foods online and get the items delivered right to your door if prices were comparable to Walmart, Publix, or other grocers?

Shopping at Whole Foods is both more healthy with organic products and at this point, could be easier than having to go to the grocery story yourself and buy food, load it into the car, unload it at home, and put it away. Amazon could make this a three-step process: shop online, get delivered, put away.

There are rewards programs at some current grocery chains, but none that match up with what Amazon Prime offers.

Remember, this is just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.
