Steve Aoki, who serves as the creator behind HyperGEL, has over 250 to 300 shows a year. He’s constantly on the go with producing and being a style icon. He recently shared, “I am excited to be the face of HyperGEL. I really like the futuristic look of the shoe. Whether I am in the gym, working in the studio or performing on stage, they are always on.”
Steve Aoki added his pop of flair to the design with a Japanese Kanji symbol that’s located on both the inside and heel of each shoe. The left foot symbol translates to “mind” while the right foot translates to “body”. Together, they both symbolize, ” Sound Mind, Sound Body”.
There are two different styles of sneakers for men and women that are each priced at $130. For men, you can choose between black or red and for women there is a pink option or black.
These shoes are designed for runners and feature a breathable detail to stay cool with every step. It also provides an enhanced cushion effect that helps to reduce impact and preserves energy, resulting in overall comfort and endurance while exercising. This shoe is very unique to ASICS due to its gel cushioning midsole that utilizes gel beads that are randomly dispersed throughout the bed of the shoe.
These shoes are also a breeze to put on with their slip-on design and sock-like fit. They are completely lace-less which offers an ultra-sleek look and is also a very on-trend style design, as well.
