DECCO is an iOS-connected monitor that sends alerts when your child opens a door

There are plenty of baby monitors out on the market today and hardly any features left unimagined in that area. But what about when your baby becomes a toddler and starts walking around the house? DECCO: The Toddler Monitor gives parents a little peace of mind because it will send an alert to them if their toddler has left a bedroom or safe space, and is on the move.

The creators, two moms of toddlers, were inspired to create this device when one of their kids left the house undetected in the middle of the night. They looked around online and at other retailers and discovered there was nothing there to help parents monitor toddlers after they outgrow the baby monitor. Then, they spoke with friends and it became clear that there was a strong demand for a simple, reliable, and travel friendly solution to this problem. DECCO the Toddler Monitor is exactly that.

Initially, we worked to create our proof of concept and show how we believed the Toddler Monitor should work.  We also talked a lot about how we wanted our product to look; we knew we wanted it to be fun and friendly, we also knew we wanted him to be durable and made of a soft material.

To use it, just download the toddler monitor app from the App Store or Google Play and follow the instructions. Once paired to your phone you will receive alerts about detected motion, connectivity, and battery status.

We invented Toddler Monitor because we needed it for our families. We worried about traveling with our kids to places with pools or lakes, leaving our kids with family members, and were constantly checking to make sure our kids were safe in their beds. Our vision is:

We want to keep kids safe, and we know we can do this by making Toddler Monitor available to families just like us. We started this journey over a year ago and have put our hearts, souls, time and money into making Toddler Monitor a reality.

For $70, you can get in on the early bird special and get one from the Kickstarter campaign. Shipping is expected to begin in May 2017 when the campaign ends.
