Dell’s new 27-inch UltraThin display includes a USB-C hub for MacBook owners

Dell is starting off CES 2017 with a bang thanks to a new 27-inch monitor that it claims is among the thinnest “in the world”. Although it is isn’t quite a 4K display, this new model packs enough to punch to make you consider it (especially in comparison to LG’s 5K price tag). The QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution offers support for HD10 content which should bring solid returns on color reproduction. Additional specs include a 6ms response time and 99% sRGB coverage. Dell has yet to unveil final details on the number of inputs, etc.

MacBook Pro users will be glad to see that Dell has included a USB-C hub in the all-metal base. A single matching arm extends upwards to hold the InfinityEdge ultra-thin bezel display, making this one of the more attractive monitors that we’ve seen recently. Dell is set to sell the 27 UltraThin monitor for $700 in March. You’ll note that Dell does offer 4K monitors for less, but pale in comparison to the design of this new release.
