RokBlok plays your vinyl anywhere and will even beam it over Bluetooth

The music industry has enjoyed the resurgence of vinyl popularity over the last few years. In fact, this medium is providing more royalties to artists in some countries than digital downloads. Entrepreneurs are cashing in on this trend with new projects left and right, the latest of which is RokBlok. This small wooden box sits on most any vinyl and plays tunes through its built-in speaker as it rotates around like a traditional record player. Even cooler is its built-in Bluetooth radio that wirelessly transmits tunes to nearby speakers.

Dubbed ‘the world’s first infinitely portable, wireless record player’, RokBlok is a supreme example of old-school meeting modern day tech. The included power source provides up to four hours of music playback on 45 and 33 1/3 RPM records. Simply place RokBlok on your favorite vinyl and pull the lever to get started. From there, your music of choice will emit from the speaker or beam to the nearest Bluetooth device. There’s no telling on the quality of playback here, but it certainly is a cool add-on for vinyl enthusiasts. In just a few days, this Kickstarter project has flown past its original $50,000 goal. Currently a pledge of $69 will deliver a unit next September if all goes to plan.

RokBlok is the world’s smallest wireless record player, that plays your favorite records by lightly riding on top of them. Rock out to your favorite albums anywhere, using it’s built in speakers, or wirelessly connect your favorite bluetooth speakers or headphones for a bigger sound. Want to listen to Dylan in your bedroom? No problem. Wanna share your favorite Gil Scott Heron press with some friends at a park? Go for it. With it’s tiny profile, you can listen to your favorite records anywhere you can find a flat surface…yes, anywhere.
