Nyko’s new Miniboss brings a wireless controller to the upcoming NES Classic

We’re just over a week away from finally getting our hands on the new NES Classic gaming system. Nintendo’s latest release has garnered a lot of attention since it was announced in July. However, one of the downfalls is that it ships with a rather short three-foot hardwired controller. That’s just not going to work for modern gamers that are used to wireless connectivity on nearly every device. That’s where Nyko comes in. The popular accessory maker has announced the Miniboss for NES Classic Edition, a wireless controller designed to match its Nintendo counterpart.

Gamers will be able to sit up to 30-feet away from the console thanks to a wireless dongle that plugs directly into the existing port. Nyko’s controller is nearly identical save for a few ergonomic adjustments to some of the buttons. There’s no word on how long the internal battery will last, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Despite NES Classic arriving on November 11th, Nyko won’t be shipping its latest creation until December 30th. The Miniboss has a list price of $20 and is available for pre-order today with Amazon expected to follow-suit shortly.

Conquer any game and get the Hi-Score with Miniboss for NES Classic Edition. Miniboss features SPACE-AGE Cordless Technology allowing cord-free play from up to 30 feet away. Cords are so yesterday and cordless is the future! Sit back in comfort to enjoy the classics! No need to be close to the television. Two offset ergonomic face buttons gives you the precision needed to make those jumps, avoid beams and for mass button mashing action. Two is all you need! The rad 4-way directional pad is perfect for up, down, right and occasional left movement.
