Amazon Prime Day 2016 revealed: Tons of deals, increased inventory and Alexa specials for Echo owners

After putting up huge, record-breaking sales figures last year, Amazon has announced the second annual Prime Day will be held on July 12th. The 1-day event will once again exclusively be open to Prime members so if you aren’t yet a member, make sure you signup for a free trial.

Amazon is promising more than 100,000 deals worldwide with fresh ones hitting as quickly as every 5 minutes. There will also be special offers just for customers who own an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot or Amazon Tap. Continue on for a look at how Amazon is planning to make Prime Day even bigger this year…

During Prime Day 2015 most popular deals sold out insanely quick. It seems Amazon is addressing this problem by increasing available inventory for certain products, according to Greg Greeley, Vice President Amazon Prime:

Following last year’s record sales, we have dramatically increased the inventory behind many deals. In fact, in the U.S. we have nearly double the TV units compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.

In addition to the main event, Amazon will be running bonus countdown deals for Prime members from July 5th through July 11th. One of the deals teased is a 32-inch TV and Fire TV Stick bundle for $119.99. Also, Kindle Unlimited will be on sale for up to 40% off.

Don’t forget, you can save an additional 5% on all deals by taking advantage of the Amazon Store Card.
