Amazon offers the refurbished Sling Media Slingbox 350 1080p TV Media Streamer for $54.99 shipped. That’s $125 off the original list price for a new one and the lowest we’ve seen.
The Slingbox 350 lets you watch cable in real time on your laptop, tablet, or smartphone from almost anywhere. There are no monthly fees, however it does require the Slingplayer app that you can get through iTunes or Google Play.
The Slingbox 350 only supports ethernet connectivity so you’ll need a wireless bridge if your HDTV is far from your router. Sling Media recommends the Neatgear Universal Wi-Fi Internet Adapter (WNCE2001) and Netgear 3DHD Wireless Home Theater Networking Kit (WNHDB3004), but an Apple Airport Express will also do the trick. Note: The SlingBox M1 has replaced the 350 in Sling Media’s current product line-up.
