If you’re anything like myself, there are plenty of electronics in your life that are in need of daily attention. Power outlets and nightstands get crowded quickly as we juice up our phone, wearable, tablet, laptop and more. While we regularly bring our readers USB-equipped power deals, sleek all-in-one solutions can be tough to come by.
MiTagg first made a run at our nightstand back in the Spring with its Power Station Lamp. Today, its back again with a smaller and sleeker rendition that even includes USB-C. This is the NuDock Mini.

Dubbed as the “most powerful smart dock ever”, the Mini has quite a bit to live up to. It has dropped the built-in lamp of its older brother in favor of a smaller footprint focused on recharging all your devices. The NuDock Mini has a home for your iPhone with an included Lightning connector plus an arm that extends out to hold your Apple Watch with a built-in charging puck.

The iPhone dock itself has room for a charging with some thinner cases. Apple Watch users can take advantage of watchOS2’s Nightstand Mode while charging horizontally. MiTagg is a part of Apple’s Made for Watch and iPhone program, so its included power adapters are safe to use with your devices. On the back side you’ll find a 2.4A USB-A plus a USB-C port as well as the plug-in for the AC power source that can handle “five devices at once”.

MiTagg hopes to handle the charging for all of your Apple gear, even your 12-inch MacBook. Don’t worry Android fans, there is a Qi-enabled version of the NuDock Mini that has you covered. I mentioned earlier that MiTagg dropped the lamp on this model, that’s not completely true. The base illuminates and can be controlled by an iOS app to display a number of different colors. It looks to be very similar to Hue in the way that it behaves.

The NuDock Mini is available for pre-order today on Indiegogo with early bird pricing starting at $79. Funding just kicked off within the hour, if it meets its goal MiTagg will fulfill orders in the Spring. The price will jump over $100 after this round of crowdfunding, which is in-line with similar all-in-one charging docks that we have seen.

The MiTagg NuDock is a SCAM….
I took part in the Crowd Funding for this product via the IndieGoGo web site. I pre-ordered two of these NuDock units over 18 months ago now and have never received them.
The company is called MiTagg – http://www.mitagg.com – who have a very professional looking website, however they have never responded to any email communications.
1000’s of other backers have also been scammed for their money but never received their products either. Here is the link to the original crowd funding page on the IndiGoGo web site – just go to the comments section to see the way this company has scammed its backers – https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nudock-apple-watch-iphone-power-station-lamp#/comments
They then cam out with a new campaign for a ‘Mini’ version of this product and did another scam (unfortunately I felt for that one as well as I was so amazed by the product concept videos) – the link to that on IndieGoGo is here – again you will see the comments from all the other backers that were SCAMMED…

There has been no update on either campaign pages for over 7 months now – they have apparently disappeared with over $1,000,000 of funds raised from their backers on IndieGoGo.
This company was listed under the names “Oliver” and “Shark Design” on IndieGoGo – SHARKS INDEED!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS!! You will never receive it. Nudock / mitagg / shark design has ripped off almost ALL of the $700,000 paying backers on indegogo. 10 months after backing they are delivering nothing but excuses to backers with not one single verified delivery. YET they are selling their items on A touch of modern and Amazon. These people are Thieves and scam artists. Please do not Support this company or promote it in any way !!!
Hey 9to5 – don’t promote this company , they’re nothing but scam artists. I was the 30th person to support the original NuDock on their Indiegogo campaign last March, as if today I have gotten nothing in return ( and neither have hundreds of others who supported it ) even though this company was selling the dock on Touch of Modern … we can get no response from MiTagg and can’t even get our money back … you should look into this
