Sorry, I was just on the phone with Target, and as far as they know they only have 5th Generation.

On the Target page you can buy a Gold iPod touch. Only the 6th gen touch is available in Gold. Also, look at the product images. 6th gen iPod touch doesn’t have a loop on the back.

Target has made a hash out of this! There are multiple iPod Touch pages, with wildly varying, overlapping prices. (A bunch of the 5th generation are “selling” for equal to or MORE than the 6th!)

The details and specifications for the purported 6th gen are actually those for the 5th generation IPT, while the photo (and colors) are of the 6th. The biggest problem of all is that Target doesn’t label the item 6th generation!

Given the Q & A there, this has been a known problem for about 2 months!

For those not in the know, the “loop” Dan is referring to is a pop-out holder around which a lanyard is laced. It’s on the 5th but not the 6th. Pretty spiffy; too bad it was dropped,
