This isn’t your Grandma’s music machine. In fact, it’s unlike any kind that we’ve ever seen before. The limited edition MusicMachine 3 from Maximilian Busser’s MB&F design group is a Star Wars-inspired piece of art that plays some of your favorite theme songs from classic action movies. You have to see it in action.
MusicMachine 3 has a TIE Fighter design that is ensconced in chrome and other finishes that is as shiny as Darth Vader’s helmet. Although the Empire’s tiny ships had an annoying sound in the movies, what radiates from this version is far from it’s big screen counterpart. The real beauty of Busser’s work lies in the ability to integrate their intricate workmanship into the Star Wars design.
Each “engine” holds tiny music rollers that have over 1,400 pins on each one, as they turn the music begins to pour out. Each individual pin is hand placed on the rollers, held by a resin. Between the two rollers, six classic theme songs can be heard: Star Wars, Mission: Impossible, James Bond, The Godfather, Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence and The Persuaders.
There are only 99 of these custom creations that will be released to the public for purchase. The MusicMachine three will be available in black, white and chrome, 33 are available in each finish. It will have a price tag of roughly $18,000, although you probably don’t have a chance at getting one.
