Every now and then Apple updates its Apple Store App with a new iOS freebie. This time Apple is giving away free downloads of Green Kitchen, a healthy vegetarian recipes app that is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It’s currently listed at $4.99 on the App Store and has never been free before.
In order to get this app for free you must do the following:
1. Download and install the Apple Store iPhone app
2. Open the app
3. Tap on the “Stores” button at the button of the screen
4. Go down to the first section below the “One to One” option — it should show an image of an Apple Watch with the text “Apple Watch is Here”
5. Swipe to the left two times on that Apple Watch image.
6. Tap the Green Kitchen app icon
7. Tap the green banner at the bottom of the screen that says “Download now for free”
8. Follow on-screen directions to begin your download
These freebies are usually US only, but we’ve been hearing reports that it’s working in other countries so YMMV. Limited time offer.

Unlike earlier offers, this one is available through the Apple Store app for iPad, and shows up only a swipe down the Stores tab (at top of screen).

That shouldn’t be the case, unless there’s some other payment issue with your Apple ID.
Tried several times, then realized all I have to do is hit the redeem tag without putting in gift card number. It worked,am I the only one to have to do this?
Yeah, I had to hit the redeem tag as well and it went thru. Used the Apple Store app for iPad.
