Packed inside the same 35mm frame as its predecessor, Cube+ brings full Wi-Fi support, allowing users to easily connect with the Polaroid Cube+ app for iOS and Android. From there, users can sync up with other devices to capture footage from the Cube+ wirelessly, while accessing a host of remote features including a viewfinder, image editing, printing and more.
Again just like the last time around, Cube+ will boast a very similar design, one-button operation, 1080p video and support for the wide range of attachments and accessories available.
The addition of the Wi-Fi and app integration is going to run you an extra $50 when the Cube+ hits store shelves in August of this year for $149.99. While serious enthusiasts are likely be better off with a full on GoPro set-up, and Monoprice’s new sub $200 action cam is certainly worth a look, the Cubes just got a lot more interesting with wireless iOS integration.
Polaroid is also announcing a couple new colors for the previous gen Cube: Hot Pink and Glow-in-the-dark-Green. Both of which will be made available in late August at the same $99.99 price point as the original red, blue and black colors.
Lastly, the recently released Polaroid Zip Instant Mobile Printer is now available at Amazon and other retailers in two new colors. The mini iOS/Android portable photo printer can now be had in both blue and red, in addition to the original black and white models for $129.99 shipped.
