Get a free game of your choosing when you buy an Xbox One next week

Microsoft is going full force following a big week at E3 2015 in Los Angeles. Beginning on Sunday, gamers will receive any Xbox One title valued at $59.99 or less with the purchase of a new console. This is big news for gamers looking to buy a Xbox One after a convincing showing at E3, head below for full details.

The key piece here is that Microsoft says this offer will be good on “all Xbox One 500GB consoles”, which leads us to believe that you’ll be able to scoop up a pre-packaged bundle plus another game of your choosing. Pair it with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundle and you’ll have a nice collection of games to get started.

If you’ve been eyeing the recently announced 1TB Xbox One console for $399, this would be the best deal that we have seen. All 1TB models include the previously mentioned Halo Bundle plus the newly updated controller, a free $60 game of choice makes this a no-brainer if you’re after more storage. Earlier this week we detailed all the reasons why it’s time to take a second look at Xbox One, and this deal puts it over the top.

This promotion will run from Sunday, June 21st through Saturday, June 27th. Although “select retailers” have not been clarified, we’d expect to see this deal at Best Buy, Amazon, Target and others. We recommend getting a newer release that is closer to full price with this promotion as many older titles can be found for less in our daily games roundup.

More E3 2015:

Buy Xbox One. Choose A Game For Free.
As we head into summer, we are excited to provide fans with another great deal for Xbox One. Starting Sunday, June 21 through Saturday, June 27, when you buy any Xbox One, you’ll get to choose any Xbox One game of your choice for free, including the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight launching Tuesday, June 23, and other recent blockbusters such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, from participating retailers in the U.S.

This special offer is valid with all Xbox One 500GB consoles, now $349 in the U.S., in addition to our recently announced Xbox One 1TB console, which includes the newly designed Xbox One Wireless Controller that comes with a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and Halo: The Master Chief Collection at no additional cost.

We shared an incredible lineup of Xbox One exclusive titles at E3 this week, including Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War 4. Coupled with a bevy of other games that we’re excited to launch in 2015 and beyond for Xbox One and Windows 10, 2015 is already shaping up to be a great one for Xbox fans.

Be sure to check with your local retailer for more details on the promotion.

1.) It specifically says 500GB consoles for a reason, right? So this probably would not apply to the new 1TB console…

2.) It sucks that the Best Buy trade-in deal with the $175 trade-in credit for the 360 ends one day before this, on the 20th. Can’t win them all I guess.

The 1TB is specifically mentioned in the PR shown at the bottom of the post, it is eligible.

You’re right. My second point still stands. I just bought the 1TB Xbox One yesterday at Best Buy, trading in my old 360 since my roommate has one too. Wish I could have had a free game out of the deal as well! (in addition to the Halo bundle) Oh well, I guess.
