Nearly 7 months after its original release date, iPad Air 2 has finally made its way to Apple’s online Refurbished Store. Prices start at $419 (Reg. $499) for a 16GB Wi-Fi model and go all the way up to $689 (Reg. $829) for a fully-loaded 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model. As of right now there are a lot of different models available in each color (Gold, Silver, Space Gray), but that can change quickly as Apple’s refurbished inventory is extremely limited.
These are decent prices if you need an iPad Air 2 right now, but we regularly track better prices for brand new units:
For example, during the past week the iPad Air 64GB Wi-Fi model was on sale for $500, while the 16GB version was down to just $400. If you can hold out for a bit, I would recommend waiting for the next great sale.
iPad Air 2 features a 9.7-inch Retina display, AC wireless, 10-hour battery life, Touch ID and is 20% than the original iPad Air. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that it’s also available gold.
This isn’t the first noteworthy move of the day for Apple’s refurbished store. Earlier this morning Apple updated its 27-inch 5K Retina iMac, which forced the previous generation model to drop to its lowest price ever.
All Apple refurbished products include a one year warranty as well as a new battery and outer shell.
