With summer approaching, SABER introduces the iPhone connected EDGE smart grill

The weather is starting to warm up and that means grilling season is right around the corner. While anyone can add a smart thermometer to a grill, SABER is introducing a new smart grill called the EDGE that puts even more info right on your iPhone.

The SABER EDGE enables iPhone or Android users to monitor “all aspects” of grill performance via an app. This includes grill temperature, burner on/off status, fuel tank levels and battery life of the on-board LCD screen. It does all this over a WiFi connection that enables users to keep track of the aforementioned variables, this could be especially handy if you are preparing a meal in the kitchen as well. Admittedly, it would be pretty cool if the temperature could be adjusted via the app but for now it simply acts as an information gathering location.

From a grilling perspective, it has all of the bells and whistles that you’d expect: all-infrared 16,000 BTU cooking system, 340 square inches of cooking space and optional upgrades such as a ceramic glass insert, halogen light and an app-enabled meat thermometer. The LCD display is a nice change up from the traditional analog buttons, offering a visual on heating levels, the fuel tank and more. It has a minimalistic 304 stainless construction with modern design cues that can be converted to natural gas. It is currently available for pre-order with the final pricing varying by vendor.
