iTunes Free App of the Week – Shades: A Simple Puzzle Game ($1.99 value)

This week’s free app courtesy of the App Store is Shades: A Simple Puzzle Game. The puzzler is regularly listed at $1.99 and is now available to download for free on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Outside of a 3 day sale back in October of 2014, this is the only other time we have seen the game go free.

Featured in Apple’s “Best New Games,” it is as the name suggests, a simple but addictive puzzle game. A new and minimalist take on the classic brick clearing format, players are tasked with organizing similar colored bricks and stacking them to clear the board:
