Griffin has announced a new line of iPad stands that have a unique history to the materials that they are made from. The new Rail Yard Studios collection takes pieces from old railroads (rails, ties, spikes and plates) and includes a certificate of authenticity detailing the location the materials came from as well as some other details.

Head below for more details, pricing, a coupon code to save 15% and a free case of your choice…

There are two models available from Griffin, the Rail Artifact stand and the Rail Slice stand. The former utilizes a variety of different materials that would commonly be found on a railroad, such as spikes and plates to create a taller stand for your iPad or tablet. The latter is a simplified version, which only uses a rail slice to support that tablet, this model is particularly intriguing because of its milled cord managed and sound amplification modifications.

We haven’t gone hands on with one yet, but strictly by the look of it this would be a great addition to any reclaimed desk setup. It is important to note that Griffin warns users that the metal used may scratch your device, but they are throwing in a free case with any purchase from this collection. Simply add any Griffin tablet case to your cart that already has one of the aforementioned products in it, and the price will be discounted from your total.

Here is the best part, if you use coupon code GIFTGUIDE you’ll save 15% off the price of one of these beautiful stands. This code applies sitewide, so you can also pick up some other accessories at a discounted price if needed for the holiday season.
