Massive $521 discount knocks Samsung’s 32-inch 4K 240Hz Odyssey OLED G8 monitor down to $729 (Amazon low)

We just spotted a deal at Amazon that drops Samsung’s 32-inch 4K 240Hz Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) monitor down to $729.10 shipped. This particular model typically goes for $1,250 and has recently hovered around the $980 mark. It dropped to $750 just last week, but today’s deal shaves an additional $21, landing it closer to the $700 mark it briefly hit at Woot last year, which very few were able to grab before it sold out. This is the lowest price we have seen this model fetch at Amazon to date, and you can learn more about it in detail below.

The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) is a 32-inch 4K gaming monitor with an OLED panel, pairing a 240Hz refresh rate with an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GTG) response time. It supports NVIDIA G-SYNC for smooth, tear-free gameplay and comes housed in a sleek metal chassis with a striking rear design. Samsung has also equipped it with a dynamic cooling system that uses integrated heat pipes to help minimize the risk of OLED burn-in. Rounding things out are a matte screen finish, an ergonomic stand in the box, and a solid port selection that includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort.

If you’re looking for alternatives, Alienware’s 34-inch QD-OLED model is at $500 right now. This one sports an ultrawide panel, and it’s down from its usual price of $900.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) gaming monitor features:

  • EXPERIENCE A BRIGHTER WORLD: Content springs to life in 4K OLED; Brilliant imagery shines with 250 nits (typ) of brightness and a wider spectrum of colors, shades & contrasts; The NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor also upscales lower resolutions to nearly 4K
  • OUTMANEUVER OPPONENTS w/ SUPREME SPEED: Dodge, counter & engage faster with OLED technology, offering a near-instant 0.03ms response time (GtG); Stay ahead with HDMI 2.1 & DisplayPort connections & a 240Hz refresh rate in UHD resolution¹
  • DYNAMIC COOLING SYSTEM: For the 1st time ever, a Pulsating Heat Pipe was introduced into the monitor to prevent burn-in; The Dynamic Cooling System evaporates & condenses a coolant to diffuse heat 5x better than the older graphite sheet method²
  • THERMAL MODULATION SYSTEM: Algorithms predict surface temperature and automatically control brightness to reduce heat accordingly³
