Update (10/30 12:25pm): Best Buy has now dropped $50 off the special edition COD and Assassin’s Creed bundles (w/ Kinect version) to match Amazon ahead of the official November 2nd drop date as well.
Update (10/28 7:55am): It looks as though the $50 price drop is now live on Amazon for the Xbox One Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle ($449) shipped and the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle without Kinect ($349) shipped. This is the lowest price we’ve seen on either bundle and nearly a week ahead of the scheduled price drop.
Update (10/27 4:45pm): Microsoft is offering an additional 5% off any purchase from the Microsoft Store when you text Play to 29502 from your mobile device, simply enter the promo code that you receive via text during checkout. We have not seen any limitations or exclusions for this deal and assume that it will work once the $50 discounts for Xbox One begin.
The crazy deal season is just around the corner now, with Black Friday like discounts starting as early as the beginning of next month from what we are hearing at this point. Microsoft looks as though it will be one of the first major manufacturers to announce deep sale pricing with its latest home console dropping $50 across the board.
You can see all the details below:
MS has been doing everything it can to catch up to PS4 sales numbers, and starting November 2nd will introduce a $50 price drop on a number of its bundle offerings in order to help close the gap. Starting as low as $349 for the Kinect-less option, this will mark the very first time Xbox One will be less expensive than PS4 outside of a few very limited sales.
Despite a few retailer specific ad leaks for early next month surfacing, it looks as though all major retailers will carry the price dropped consoles including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, MS Stores, Target, Toys ‘R Us and likely others. Not only is the base model seeing the price drop but also the limited edition Sunset Overdrive bundle, the Assassin’s Creed Unity bundle (three games) and the Xbox One Advanced Warfare option with the limited edition controller and 1TB hard drive (which will land at $449 and be available Nov. 3rd).
If you’re in the market for a new Xbox One, it looks as though it will be smarter to wait until next week to capitalize on the drop, along with any other retailer specific promos and coupons that may be available as well.
