Anker reveals new mini AI-powered voice recorder wearable at IFA

Anker is unleashing a slew of new gear as part of its IFA 2025 offerings, including the new family of Prime charging gear and its latest Qi2.2 25W MagSafe charging stand with an onboard display, but its new miniature AI voice recorder is landing as well. Officially known as the Soundcore Work, you’re looking at a tiny wearable microphone designed to capture conversations before leveraging AI capabilities to transcribe them at a moment’s notice.

The new Work is roughly the size of a quarter, albeit a little bit thicker than that of course, and it is slated to land with a $99.99 $159.99 list price when launches some time this month. Although it sounds like, while the details haven’t quite been worked out entirely, only the base functionality will be available for the price of entry, with additional monthly fees expected at $16 for the complete feature set (details on this seem to be thin at this point).

There does appear to be some confusion on the AI side of things, but the recording system here leverages GPT-4.1 as of right now and is able to understand/transcribe audio consvesatsions into as many as 100 languages. It sounds like all of the actual AI action happens once the user beams the content off to the AI cloud service being used. The audio and text will land in the Soundcore mobile app with export options at the ready, as one would expect.

It is, of course, a wearable device that can clip on to clothing or just worn around your neck with lanyard. This way you can just tap the device when you want it to start recording your conversations – it’s not an always on type of thing.

A pair of black and white electronic devices

The Work, which also comes along with a charging dock-like station, delivers up to 8 hours of battery life on its own and as much as 32 hours when paired with the charger.

As the name suggests the Soundcore Work is clearly aimed at professionals and content creators who might be able to put this sort of thing to get use in the field, but I guess it could be a fun distraction for folks who don’t want to pull a phone out to do the same thing?

Update 9/8: This post has been updated with a price correction to $159.99.
