Needless to say, the best trade-in options outside of folks looking to go with a specific carrier are going to come from Best Buy and the Google Store – you can land the FREE store credit listed above and a big deal when trading in your device.
As of right now, the trade-in values offered by the Google Store and Best Buy are relatively on par – it, of course, is all going to depend on the device you have, the condition it’s in, and in some cases, even the color (this is more of a Best Buy thing). The Pixel 9 Pro XL, for example, can net you as much as $600 off one of the new Pixel 10 devices, while the Pixel 9 Pro Fold can yield as much as $760 off, a 9 Pro more like $550 and a Pixel 9 $400 off.
But even older Pixel 6 through 8 devices can yield between $250 and $500 off a new Pixel 10.
That, on top of the store credit, can deliver some serious value, knocking between $400 and $760 off the price of the series 10 handset with last year’s model and delivering between $100 and $350 in store credit depending on the Pixel 10 device you pre-order – this can be used to land a huge deal on Pixel 4, for example (if you wait until you get the credit starting next week anyway).
