Just when you thought were surely going to get an update on the long-awaited Hollow Knight Silksong at tonight’s gamesome Opening Night Live, it looks like we are not. But not all is lost, as the official Team Cherry YouTube channel has posted a “Special Announcement” video set to go live on August 21…this could actually be it.
It is has been a long an arduous journey for fans of the Hollow Knight series. Silksong was announced a looooong time ago now, was recently teased as part of a Microsoft/Xbox presentation, and it started to look a whole lot like we might actually get the release date on Opening Night Live this evening.
But with the new “Special Announcement” video now at the ready and scheduled for August 21, not to mention industry insiders priming folks for an inside scoop on why things took so long for the same day, it looks like we will have to wait a couple more days.
After 7 years of waiting, what’s another two days right?
The YouTube announcement is scheduled to go live on August 21 at 7:30 a.m. PT/10: 20 a.m. ET.
That said, this had better be it folks. If this video goes up without actually giving folks a release date, the internet will rage:
