Best Buy trade offer is the best way to jump from iPad 2 to iPad Air 2

iPad Air 2’s thinner design, improved specs, and Touch ID may not be enough of an upgrade to entice iPad Air owners, but there’s little doubt that it’s a gigantic leap forward for iPad 2 users.

If you’re planning to jump into a new iPad Air 2 then you’ll have a few options with what to do with your old iPad: sell it privately, pass it down to a friend or family member, keep it as a backup, or trade it. If you opt to go the trade route, then you’re going to want to check out this special promotion Best Buy is currently running…

From now until November 8th, Best Buy is guaranteeing a trade value of at least $200 for an iPad 2 or newer with the purchase of a new iPad Air 2. Devices must be in working condition (no cracked screens/water damage) to qualify. Now, compare that to the values of the three most popular trade services:

Clearly the Best Buy offer is your best bet if you are looking to turn your old iPad 2 into a brand new iPad Air 2.

Target says 300 toward iPad air 2? anyone done it? Time to move on past the old iPad 2 bessie that has served us well.

Oops. . up to 300. . never mind. Looks like it would be 150. . so back to best buy. I am torn . . to wait a bit and see how things shake out price wise for the 64gig closer to the holidays, or be happy for the 200 bucks towards it now from our iPad 2 16gig. I am sure that at some point the iPad 2 will drop from the list of trade ins. Any thoughts/advice on timing from my fellow 9 to 5 ers?

Can you trade in the 1st Gen iPad Mini with this promotion and still get the $200? Best Buy is telling me I would get $150 for it.

is it $185 + “$50 toward a new iPad Air 2 will print with the trade in receipt” that makes it $200+..?

This seemed like a great deal, except they don’t seem to offer any LTE versions, a deal breaker for me.
