All-new Ring Outdoor Cam Plus debuts today
Ring – a brand that claims to have introduced the “world’s first video doorbell” – has now unveiled its new 2K camera that offers its “best image quality yet.”
The brand says it latest outdoor solutions delivers 2K video resolution, a wide field of view, and Low-Light Sight technology that “uses advanced image processing techniques” to apparently show a clear and colorful view even in “near” dark conditions.
Even in a dimly lit front garden, the camera can capture moments with clarity and sharpness through the illumination of only a street light or other ambient light.
The unit’s video quality is powered by something known as Ring Vision, which, according to the company, delivers “industry-leading video quality by combining software, hardware and Ring’s internal expertise.”
Despite its name, the new Ring Outdoor Cam Plus is designed to be used both indoors or out, featuring a weather-resistant build and an easy to install mount – it works on ceilings too – alongside various power options including a battery, plugging it in, or a solar setup.
While there is a subscription option for people, package, and vehicle notification as well as access to up to “180 days of event video history,” even without one Ring points out that customers can still enjoy features like “real-time alerts, Live View and Two Way Talk.”

All-in-all, this is very much like what we have seen from the brand in the past, albeit with updated motion and intelligent identification tech alongside the imaging sensors, better low-light response, and updated 2K vide resolutions.
The new Ring Outdoor Cam Plus is now available for pre-order at Amazon for $99.99 shipped in black or white with both battery and plug-in options – it will official release and begin shipping on Match 26, 2025.
