Last week we spotted the special mint model Pixel 8 Pro available down at a wild $560, and the standard Bay blue at $599 before that, but if you fancy the darker Obsidian black variant, Amazon just dropped its price by a, frankly, staggering $400. Regularly sold for $999 on the Google Store, Amazon is now offering the 128GB Pixel 8 Pro smartphone down at $599 shipped. This is matching the lowest price we have tracked on Amazon for the standard colors and the deepest deal we can find.
We all know Google unleashed the most current-generation Pixel 9 models last summer, and there have been some notable deals on those between then and now, but nothing on the order of the $400 drop we have here today on the Pixel 8 Pro – not even the base model Pixel 9 has dropped anywhere near this price.
There are some advancements in the new models, that’s for sure, but the Pixel 8, and especially the pro model we have here today remain compelling options at a price like today’s. Powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip tuned for Google AI that delivers “cutting-edge photo and video features and smarter ways to help,” it also features a 6.7-inch Super Actua display that runs between 1 and 120Hz alongside what Google refers to as four “pro-level” cameras.
