FlashFinder Apple Find My Flashlight-03

Apple’s Find my tech has made its way into key organizers and passport wallets, wall chargers and wallet cards (among other things), and I’m loving it. We also just happen to spot this relatively new FlashFinder Keychain Flashlight on Amazon with onboard Find My tech alongside a notable launch deal down at $23.79clip the on-page coupon. Shipping is free for Prime members or in orders over $35. This unit landed on Amazon for the first time a few weeks ago at $28 and is now at the lowest price we have seen yet.

New mini FlashFinder keychain flashlight with Apple Find My

The new FlashFinder, as it is officially known, from Footnote Accessories Co. is a miniature keychain-ready flashlight – roughly the same size or smaller than a typical car key – complete with built-in Apple Find My tech.

The 2-in-1 device delivers some much needed illumination in the dark as well as keeping tabs on your keys or whatever else it might be attached to via its key ring-compatible loop.

As far as the flashlight side of things goes, the brand says it is “six times” brighter than the flashlight on your smartphone and delivers a 50-meter illumination range.

There are three LED colors – white, red, and blue – as well as ten lighting modes – Siren light mode that blinks back and forth between the red and blue LEDs.

The onboard battery delivers “months” of Find My tracking and as much as six straight hours of continuous light on a single charge. The Find My action here is presumably running on the same battery that powers the flashlight itself – hence the vague “months” rating. The internal rechargeable battery gets juiced back up using the included USB-C cable.

The company touts its somewhat discrete design here as well – just about anyone is going to be able to tell whether or not your keychain has an AirTag or something to that effect looped on it, but the item location functionality is, perhaps, far more discreet hidden inside of a mini flashlight – FlashFinder is also roughly the same price as an AirTag.

Another neat trick here is the magnetic design. Footnote Accessories Co. says the unit features magnetic mounting which allows the flashlight to attach to metal surfaces, “such as your car, for hands-free use, all thanks to its magnetic mount” – it doesn’t appear as though any other additional accessories are required for this. The unit is also said to be waterproof as well, according to the launch video below:

As for the Find My action, it seems like a pretty standard, fully-featured third-party situation here. Load it up in the Devices on your Find My iPhone app, and voila. From there, the FlashFinder’s onboard speaker supports audible location chimes, Left Behind notifications, and all of the usual tracking via the Apple Find My map.

FlashFinder carries a regular $29 list price and you can scoop one up on Amazon right now for $23.79 Prime shipped after clipping the on-page coupon
