While we are still tracking $200 price drops on the latest 13-inch M3 MacBook Air models, Amazon is now taking it up (or down rather) a notch on the 15-inch models. We did see the 15-inch variants drop the same $200 from the new list prices last week, but Amazon is now offering most configurations at $250 off. They are now closer to $450 off the price they carried before Apple upgraded the lineup to start with 16GB of RAM back in October. Details below.

The new base model 15-inch M3 MacBook Air is still starting at $1,099, or $200 off the new $1,299 list price, but we are seeing even deeper deals on the elevated configurations now. This includes both the 16GB and 24GB RAM models with the 512GB SSD upgrade:

As we mentioned above, one way to look at these prices are to consider the original MSRP they carried not more than 3 months ago – these configs are $450 under the previous sticker price and $250 below the current going rate at Apple and other official retailers. This is, however, a serious deal no matter how you look at it, coming within $25 or so of the best prices ever (limited Black Friday offers on select colorways).

I’m not sure you care or not, but if I was going to buy a new M3 MacBook Air right now, I would consider the upgraded models. I would go with a 13-inch (those price drops are waiting below), but I would nonetheless opt for something with either the upgraded 512GB storage or maybe even the 24GB of RAM. The 16GB configs are likely more than enough or most folks not getting into intensive/creative projects and the like, but every time I have just opted for the most affordable configurations on MacBooks in the past, I usually regret not just waiting for a sale price on the elevated model – the extra RAM and storage just make the machine feel more future proof for me.

Either way, and wherever you land in that conversation, the M3 MacBook Air deals are flying right now across a number of configurations and you’ll find the rest of them waiting down below:

Another thing to keep in mind here is M4 – it is almost certainly coming to the MacBook Air lineup this year and we just  detailed the value-proposition on the recent upgrade to 16GB of RAM configurations with that in mind:

M4 MacBook Air is coming in 2025, but you don’t have to wait for an upgraded model. That’s because of a recent upgrade to the existing MacBook line that is arguably more significant than a generational chip swap.
