Our only major complaint with it was the original Camera Control cutout it shipped with – it was just simply a bit too cumbersome for for some to comfortably get their finger into. But you might also have seen our update too, as Burton has since completely redesigned the cutout and is now shipping the Heritage model featured here today with what I call a 3/4 cutout – the edge of the case is neatly removed right from the display edge to leave the Camera Control button entirely accessible.
I very much did choose the Nomad Traditional full-wrap leather iPhone 16 case as my leather model of the year, and stand by that choice – it’s gorgeous. But the Burton Goods model has a lot of things going for it you won’t get on the Nomad model and, now with the upgraded cutout, is an easy runner-up pick.
